Publisher's Summary

“Few authors write about espionage, terrorism, and clandestine hit squads as well as Taylor does.” (Houston Press

Logan is on the desperate hunt for a man who is about to betray his country - and ignite a horrific new world war - in this pulse-pounding thriller from New York Times best-selling author and former special forces officer Brad Taylor

Pike Logan and Jennifer Cahill are enjoying a sunny vacation down under when they get disturbing news: their friend and colleague Clifford Delmonty is in serious trouble. While working as a contractor at an Australian F-35 facility, the former Taskforce member - callsign Dunkin - saw something he shouldn’t have, and now he’s on the run from Chinese agents.

Pike and Jennifer soon discover that Dunkin’s attackers are a dangerous link to a much larger scheme that could launch a full-on conflict between China and Taiwan. In its quest for dominance, China is determined to reclaim Taiwan - a pivotal ally the United States has sworn to protect. Pike learns that the Chinese have a devious plan to bait the island nation into all-out war by destabilizing the government and manipulating an artificial intelligence defense system.

As the threat reaches a boiling point, Pike alone realizes that what they’re seeing isn’t actually real. A soldier who has always been trained to fight and win, Pike must now track down and neutralize the missing man who holds the key. With the help of Jennifer, the Taskforce team, and a brave Taiwanese intelligence agent, he races to prevent a catastrophic conflict from consuming a whole region of the world.

excellent as usual

Brad Taylor cranks out another winner. With number 15 in the series he manages to again put the team to work on a timely, and believable mission. most authors this far into a series begin to get stale and predictable; Brad Taylor just makes it that much harder to stop turning pages!

Another great story in the Pike Logan series

The storyline could be pulled from the pages of recent US History - It kept me interested and guessing the finale -

I anticipated a different ending (this was great) - involving a few other characters (not to give away anything) -

Jennifer and Pike continue to grow as a couple and it adds a great dimension to the storyline.

Excellent narration as always -

Very nicely done.

You left us hanging at the end! Your potential has two goals. The hundred meter goal maybe the mole, the five meter goal the illness that someone contracted.
Or vice versa, depends. Either way I'm interested in the next book regardless of how it goes. one of my favorite authors.

Predictive....Worst Of The Series

Too many places where the plot is easily predictable. Logan made to look like a Moron by his lack of direction, assuming the mission is ended when it makes no sense.

Great Read

Another great read Taylor book. Sometimes very confusing for me as a listener to figure out exactly what each of the characters was up to and why they were relevant. But occasionally, he pulls the story back together again so it made more sense. It was very complex and extremely detailed in it’s finite descriptions.

For fans of super-agent thrillers, this is for you

This is the first Brad Taylor / Pike Logan book I've ever read but I'm seriously impressed and will be listening to more of the series starting earlier now.

The story is detailed enough to be engaging and put the reader/listener in the situation without being overly distracting (ie: Jack Carr's millimeter-level detail).

This is a thrilling super-agent novel with a GREAT storyline!

Great Book

A lot of the events in this book could actually be true with what is going on in the world. Overall a great book, I highly recommend every book in the serie.
