Publisher's summary

Traumatized by a complicated childhood and losing the love of his life, Sage Osbourne pours everything he’s got into keeping his routine and trying to avoid the not-dates he keeps getting set up on, content to be single and determined to keep it that way.

He attempts to maintain that decision when a gorgeous newcomer opens up a new café just doors down from the tattoo shop. It doesn’t help that Will is not only perfect for him but seems to be interested in taking their relationship further than just friends.

Prior to opening up Masala, Will Rahman’s life had been carefully plotted out by his overbearing parents. He was to graduate medical school, become a doctor, and make everyone proud. Will threw a wrench in those plans when he dropped out and took what little he had across the country to start a café. Disinherited and attempting to escape a toxic relationship, Will’s determined to live life his own way: without the influence of anyone else. However, things don’t ever happen the way Will plans them.

A phone call one night, just hours before Masala opens its doors, changes Will’s life forever. Now, the guardian of his seven-year-old sister Molly, Will tries to keep his head above water, all the while navigating his blossoming feelings for the tattooed man next door.

Will anything go to plan, and will both men find a way to be happy together, or will the trauma of their recent past keep them apart?

Nice.

Good story. If though a bit predictable, sweet and adorable with a good bit of drama mixed in.
Very enjoyable narration.

A second chance at love and happiness!

This is another fabulous book from E.M. Lindsey. Another book I'm left with a deeper understanding of the human spirit. Sage is grieving Ted, his fiancee, and having a hard time letting him go even though it had been several years since his passing. Will finds out his parents, who disowned him, die and name Will his 7 year old sister Molly's guardian. He decides he wants to raise her while he's getting his coffee shop open and dealing with an abusive ex. Sage and Will come together slowly when Sage helps Molly with her math and helps Will with his ex a couple of times. They are patient with each other and both are able to move on together. I love how some of the previous story finds it's way into this one. It connects and gives them more meaning. This is a wonderful addition to the series and I look forward to the next book. I love this book, and the series, and highly recommend it.
Narrator Scott Alford does another amazing job with this book in this series. I can't wait to hear him in book 4.

Heartwarming story, excellent narration

I've been a fan of the Iron and Works series since the first book came out on Kindle. Getting to hear these stories brought to life brings an incredible new dimension to all of it.

Grief has limits, whereas apprehension has none.

For we grieve only for what we know has happened, but we fear all that possibly may happen. ~Pliny the Elder
Holy, emotional heart barf!! Be prepared to have your tissues out and get ready to cry with Sage. This slow burn was to die for, my heart hurts after listening to this. Yes, Sage got his happily ever after and it was so damn beautiful but I really related with him dealing through Ted's death. I think that Will was the absolute perfect character for Sage and this story. There couldn't have been a better fit. Plus, the way that Will had to deal with his ex and had his own issues before things got started with Sage was a great way to let everything build. I was insanely stressed out though whenever Joe would show up. Was Will kind of a doormat with that situation, maybe, but I completely understood the emotional abuse aspect and how people allow things to drag out longer than they should due to fear or a strange sense of comfort. Sage and Will's story was really touching, I love these two so much and I was so happy with the way their HEA happened! *Sigh*so cute!! As always awesome narration, Scott is the best!!!

The series is one of my absolute favorites

I was really looking forward to listening to the series because I love the books so much. I bought the first three books. I made myself listen to all of them. It was awful. The narrator is just bad. All of the voices sound basically the same. Will sounded like a stoned surfer dude. Save your money.
