Publisher's summary

Military contractor Dav Toron left the Legion to avoid the incompetency of its growing number of points. There’s no avoiding the chaos of his next mission.

Running protection for a House of Reason Special Aide turns into a kinetic nightmare as a corrupt local government, intergalactic rebels, and violent pirates converge to plunge a backwater edge planet into utter violence and chaos.

With his team cut off from all support, Dav falls back on his Legion training to keep those around him alive. But when he forges an alliance with a stranded Legion squad and planetary natives looking to stand up to those seeking to topple their government, an opportunity to save the small planet presents itself...if Dav and his ragged team of outnumbered and outgunned warriors can survive long enough to take it.

Best-selling author and veteran Peter Nealen teams up with Anspach and Cole and draws from his own experiences as a paramilitary contractor to deliver this thrilling tale of sacrifice, determination, and combat.

Always Legion is a stand-alone novel set in the period between Legionnaire and Galactic Outlaws.

Good to have the legion back.

I sure wish Peter Nealan would bless us with more The Lost books, but him as a coauthor for GE is good enough.
After KTF 2 I was worried that there would be no more GE since the focus appears to be on Forgotten Ruin, which is also great. This book is awesome. The narrator is great and this book slips right into the GE timeline nice and snug without any conflicts. You know you’re going to buy this or use up a credit for it so go ahead and do it nothing I say is going to convince you either way Welcome back GE please don’t be a stranger.

Yessssss!

Galaxy’s Edge is back baby! I don’t know if it’s the addition of Peter Nealen (his other books are kellhorned awesome) or what. But this feels like a return to form. Dav was a great addition. I loved everything about this.
Do you love science fiction? Get this book. Peter Nealen doesn’t disappoint

Once again, a perfect standalone

You guys keep nailing it! We all thought the series was going sway after KTF but we were proven wrong. Love the side storyline in this great Galaxy! Keep 'em coming.

Story was interesting/engaging

I like the realism in the characters and action sequences. Some charting liked died as would really occur. They do a good job of crafting a realistic picture of what our real world politics does good and bad for the world at large and the military.

Loved it. Despite it not being narrated by RC Bray, it was still a good listen.

Not narrated by RC Bray. Narrator did a respectable job, but Bray is the master of this type of book.

A tale of how one man can change the world

The story follows an ex-Legionaire on a back world planet as he makes his money and ponders why he left the legion. Caught up in a plane wide insurrection our protagonist decides to fight, to follow, and finally to lead men in countering said insurgency. His selflessness under fire along with that of his fellow personal protection contracts, and the remains of a legion unit in the climatic battle were written expertly. A great book and my favorite of the series so far. Recommend for military sci-fi fans or warfare junkies. Two thumbs up.

Awesome addition to the series

So cool to hear Marc narrate this as I loved his work on Hymn Before Battle - Ray Porter is my favorite narrator but Marc is not far behind at all

Great story as all of the series are …
