Great story

This was a great story. Very compelling and well written. I found myself totally immersed in it! Hoping for outcomes and glad that what I thought was going to happen, did or didn’t. You find yourself involved with the characters. I absolutely recommend the listen. It is a lengthy story but well worth it!

Excellent “read” kept me fully engaged

I picked this book because I heard told me that great things about the author. So from name recognition chose randomly to pick this book.. I am so glad I did! This book had such great descriptions such great reading I felt I was there with the characters every step of the way. The book storyline itself had wonderful intrigue with many ups and downs, just as every great story does! I recommend this!

INCOMPLETE PRODUCT ~ MISSING PORTIONS OF CHAPTERS!

Great news!!! Complete book on Chirp!! Wonderful story, excellent ending!! Definitely not two ships passing in the night!!! TERRIBLE JOB AUDIBLE! THIS BOOK DESERVES BETTER TREATMENT REPAIR THIS RECORDING TO PRESENT THE ENTIRE BOOK!

could not finish it

Seemed to skip a lot and I had to finally just give up on it. Couldn't finish it and that is really unusual

Incomplete

I wanted to give fair warning to anyone considering the purchase of this book. I would have given it much higher than a 3 star rating, because it is actually well written and quite interesting, but the download is missing most of Chapter 22, all of Chapter 23, and most of Chapter 24. It is an obvious break in the story line. I had to get the book from the library to find out what was in the missing section, because it was driving me crazy.

Two part story?

I chose this book because I enjoy listening to John McDonough. He does a great job, as usual, of bringing the characters to life. I enjoyed the first part of the story very much, but it seemed to me that there were a lot of gaps in the story, where years when by and the reader was left wondering. Then the story picks up again in a totally different setting. I think the story ended quit abruptly and I guess I was expecting more detail about the reunion of the couple. Probably not a book that I would include in my "top ten" favorites.
