Publisher's Summary

BONUS! Contains a fun question & answer session between narrators Jason Clarke & Erin Mallon during the last ten minutes of the recording.

I know it’s time to move on from my rocky past and get back out there and start dating again.

It’s just that every time I think about it, I get all nervous and sweaty.

Good thing I have a secret weapon to help me - my best friend, professional hockey stud Owen Parrish.

He’s the king of hookups, and promises he’ll be my guide through the world of online dating. With his help, I know this won’t be as hard.

I’ve never been this hard in my entire life.

My friend Becca wants my help hooking her up with some douchey guy from a dating app.

I said I’d help her - but now I’m noticing all kinds of things I can’t ignore, like how pretty she is behind those baggy clothes and messy buns.

I want to be the one to help her, to show her the ropes in the bedroom, and it turns out, Becca’s game to let me take a more hands-on approach.

But what happens when she’s ready to take her newfound confidence and move on? I’ve never been boyfriend material, but for her, I want to try.

Your favorite hot jocks are back with an all new stand-alone novel. If you like sexy, confident men who know how to handle a stick (on and off the ice), and smart women who are strong enough to keep all those big egos in check, this series is for you!

(Books can be enjoyed in any order.)

Swoon!

Owens character was so sweet and heart felt. Nothing like the douchy guy I thought he would be. I loved that his character was so straight forward and we listened to him fall in love rather than just her. Most books have the guy being a total player and then in the end there is this epiphany where they realize “omg” I’m in love. In this book he was like yea I’m gonna help you because I’ve always been attracted to you but never wanted to cross that line.. and then we watch and he falls for her day by day.. even at the end she is still insecure and he is sure that he will marry her one day and they will have babies.. I mean seriously.. ovary explosions everywhere!!! More more please

Jason Clarke

Can I just say...Jason...Clarke. Geez the man has an amazing voice. I loved Owen and Becca's story. I liked Elise and Justin's more but that didn't take away from this book. Owen was a man that took advantage of convenient randoms, he just needed Becca to show him he could be a real man. Loved it! Readers knock Erin, but I love her and she does a great male voice.

HEART, HUMOR, HEAT & HOT JOCKS

What an enjoyable and entertaining slow-burning friends-to-lovers story this was as hotshot Playboy Owen tries to help his insecure friend Becca with her sexual unease after being nearly raped in College and now, years later, she still can’t get intimate with anyone. So, who better to help her than Owen her best friend’s hot shot brother and her close friend.. the drool-worthy ‘one and done’ commitment shy Goalie for the Seattle Ice Hawks. The attraction is there, the chemistry is definitely there and the agreement to keep it ‘strictly casual’ underlined in bold is there too.. so what could possibly go wrong? Well hmm tap my chin and let me think.. it could wake you both up to what’s been right under your noses all this time.. love.. sweet, possessive, powerful, can’t keep your hands off each other, character changing, kindred spirits love.

Worth a credit? Of course the dual POV f-t-l plot has been done before but, when Kendall Ryan, Jason Clarke and Erin Mallon are the ones creating the story and bringing the feels and flurries to life, you know it’s going to be great and that it’s going to be sweet, sexy, romantic, lighthearted and fun. This drama-lite heartwarming journey takes root from something dark.. but it pushes boundaries, ignites feelings, conquers ghosts and finds soulmates who trust, love and risk it all when the right person comes along. And yes, IMO, it’s creditworthy.. and the short Q & A session between Erin and Jason was insightful, refreshing and fun too.. thanks guys x.

Noooo

I listened to the first boom and it was great. Adorable, cute, easy read. This one is just stupid. And the narrator, omg baddd. She’s so breathy about everything and the story is so ridiculous! I get it, we aren’t listening to Shakespeare here but give me “somewhat believable”. LoL I’m going to veto this one.

Just read my thoughts on the book… if you dare 😬

So, I’ll start by saying I love Kendall Ryan but this book fell so short for me, Becca and Owen, yaaaaawn.

Becca, even though she tried hard, she still came off as a groupie trying to score a rich player. It was easier for her being friends with the sister…oh and her assistant job… she pretended well because that’s what players like, not a groupie. Therefore, she’d give him just a peek 😆 pretend she’s not that interested but get drunk and share… you know, typical college girl behavior… then after she got him she became a tad braggy… like seriously? That’s what people do? Their inner monologues are like that? Trying to impress oneself? 😆😆😆 I don’t know, I did not care for her at all. I would have liked her if she was more honest with what she’ was doing… I, the reader, could see 5 steps ahead, so the inner lies that were monologues came off dumb…

Owen, Ryan did a good job depicting an athlete. The typical jock. But Owen was nice inside…? Just a typical good guy… nothing spectacular.

I do wish there wasn’t a split in narration because Becca was so freakishly boring, her parts were like watching paint dry… we don’t have to hear about their lives half and half… it’s okay to skip her a few chapters… just my 2 cents… I really struggled to finish this book. I came back… listened to 5 books… put in one chapter… jumped on other books and I finally had to power through before I buy more books… literally the process I went through, there may have been more books…

Narration: I love Jason Clarke, he always delivers but Erin Mallon was kind of, I don’t know.. the way she would say BecCA or how she’d read sone things… I skipped her parts a lot and maybe I skipped the better parts of the story too… so imagine my surprise when I heard her talk at the end Q and A of sorts they had… I was like why didn’t you read with your normal voice Erin Mallon? WHY?

Worth a credit? If you are dipping your toe in this genre and this happens to be one of the first books then it’s fine or you enjoy super light and super fluffy books then yep! This is for you. But if you’ve been enjoying dark romance and other smut? Or enjoy some semblance of a realism in the heroine…I’d skip this one.

Surprisingly touching and funny

This was a beautiful, loving, thoughtful, poignant, and funny story. This book was surprisingly refreshing in this genre. I laughed a lot and felt it made the story of the friendship that came first so much better. I loved this story more than the first installment to the series!

Love a sexy hockey romance!

I actually listened to this book over a year ago but probably forgot to review.
Jason Clarke is in my top 3 narrators and I adore Erin.

I found Kendall through the romance package a year ago and fell in love with this series.
Owen is a really great guy under that hockey star persona. Becca is sweet, shy and has a past she's, trying to move on from.
You'll love this friends to lovers trope!
I really enjoyed how their relationship blossomed and how much Owen changes thanks to Becca.

Great Book

Love these two narrators. Kendall Ryan's choosing them for a lot of her stories is right on the mark. Thanks for a great listen Jason, Erin and of course the wonderful Ms. Ryan.

exactly the same as book 1

two friends make a deal to be fuck buddies, each worry that's all it with be after sleeping together a few times, each fall in love, some random phantom strife, resolve, make up sex.
even down to the guy thinking he can't "do love" and the girl yelling at him that he's capable of so much more. honestly...it's the exact same.

both narrator's were excellent though

All the Way

This was my first book in the series but I loved it so much that I just want to listen to all the Hot Jocks stories now. I loved Owen and Becca and all of their friends. Their story was sweet and sexy and hot. Erin Mallon and Jason Clarke are two of my favorite narrators because they both have great voices and always do an amazing job bringing a story to life. I received this audiobook at my request and have voluntarily left this unbiased review.

All the way - hot jocks book 2

I’ve actually listened to this book a couple of times now (currently counting down the days until book 4 to be released by re-listening to the first 3!)

Book 2 follows the story of Becca and Owen. Owen is the brother of Elise from book 1. I really enjoyed this audiobook even if the main bulk of the story did progress a little quickly.
Narrators were great, I love Jason and Erin
