I enjoyed this story so much. I love Landon…wise beyond his years, but still had things to learn. I’ll admit many times I was mad at Aubrey for how she treated him, but I was always won over. I adore this series, each book is better than the last. ❤️ This story was made that much better with the best male narrator.

Younger man/older woman and virgin hero! LOVED!

Down and Dirty is the fifth installment in Kendall Ryan’s ‘Hot Jocks’ series and can definitely be read as a stand-alone. I’ve only read the first book and I wasn’t lost at all. If you’re a fan of the younger man/older woman troupe, a quickie Vegas wedding and a male virgin, this is the book for you!

Landon is the rookie on the Seattle Ice Hawks team and he’s notoriously single. He’s never found the right girl and hasn’t settled for the wrong one. He’s got it bad for Aubree, who is 7 years older than him and works for the hockey league’s charity. One night in Vegas leads to a marriage between the two. And though Aubree is quick to want to get it annulled, Landon wants to see if things could work between the two…

Landon is one of my favorite heroes Kendall Ryan has ever written. I loved him to pieces. I liked Aubree, too, I just wish she would have been more upfront and honest and saved them both a lot of miscommunication and heartache. I listened to the audiobook which was narrated by Jacob Morgan and Emma Wilder. Both did an amazing job voicing these characters. They’re always a pleasure to listen to.

This was an easy to read romance that made my heart happy. Sometimes we need something light, sexy, and fun- this fit that perfectly. I love that about Ryan’s books. I’m so excited for the next book in this series, which will be Anna and Grant’s.

Glad I Kept Listening

I’ve listened consecutively to each book in this series and thought Justin and Elise’s story was and would continue to be my favorite—enter swoon-worthy Landon Covington. Seriously…he’s the irresistibly, tender-hearted hero that you need, who’ll send your imagination into overdrive and make you go all giddy.

Jacob Morgan’s wonderfully alluring voice really does it for me in this one and perfectly captures Landon’s endearing, yet alpha, personality. Conversely, from the beginning, Emma Wilder’s voice turned me off of Aubrey’s character through out most of the book, only slightly recovering in the end. Her voice seemed too mature and not as carefully matched for the character of Aubrey. In saying this, it was still worth continuing and I’m happy I did keep listening, as this book in the series has become my favorite!

While Down and Dirty can be read as a stand alone book, I feel that already “knowing” the other characters really added something to the story that a listener/reader would not otherwise get without having read the first few titles in this series. Either way, I totally recommend listening or reading!
