It was alright

I was intrigued by this book’s title, and I must admit, the author skillfully incorporated it into the story. However, I noticed that the narrative veered off course, particularly when the protagonist was engrossed in his imagination. The writing is well-crafted, and many of the places he mentions are familiar. I also appreciate the author’s inclusion of historical context for certain aspects of Jamaican culture. Nevertheless, there were instances where I felt as lost as the main character. The narration was adequate, not exceptional, but sufficient to make the protagonist feel real.
