Deliverance from self absorption

This story is a great look at how the online social media sites are not an adequate replacement for true in person relationships. And a life only focused on what enriches ones self fails to satisfy in the long run. Sharing and caring has great rewards for those who give as well as those who receive.

Amazing.

This book seemed like it was going to be stereotypical in every sense, but it wasn’t. I had already had the storyline pegged from the beginning of the book and boy was I wrong. Most of the time I assumed something was going to happen and it didn’t. A couple of aspects of the book you are able to predict, but that’s completely okay because it wasn’t cheesy. I loved all the characters both main and side. And the back stories were just.. ❤️.. This book was really able to make me feel my feelings and a plus was that it kept me close to God through the read.

Great story, great narrator

I was a huge Nicole Deese fan before I listened to this audio book, but I actually found this book by searching for stories narrated by Justis Bolding. As a newbie to audio books, I’m finding the narrator makes all the difference. I’ve listened to a few where I found the story might have been fine if I’d been reading the text myself, but the narrator was too distracting. But when I found this book by a stellar author as well as narrator, I knew this would be awesome. And it was. The story line was so good, with so many different twists and unexpected turns. Combine that with great narration, it wasn’t difficult to make it my favorite audio book yet.

Lighthearted, fun and imaginable story!

From the very first chapter you are drawn into this story. There are moments to make you smile, laugh and even shed a tear. Very well written and the audio was a great pick for a long family road trip! My girls went from do we have to listen to…. asking for it to turn it back on.

Couldn’t Stop Listening

I was doing market research. Yep. That’s how I stumbled on this gem. This was the second title on my list of books to look into, and I was hoping desperately that it wouldn’t be as disappointing as the first (by a different author). It wasn't! Instead, it made me laugh, cry, think, and even dream off-the-page goals. In fact, I was still listening at 4 a.m.!

I fell in love with Molly, Val, Silas, and the other characters immediately. They are well-developed, relatable, and leave you wanting to know more of their story.

Having worked in the non-profit world (specifically in orphan care) for many years, this book was right in my heart-space. It blessed me to hear the needs of these young adults being so skillfully brought to life. But also, I found I could relate to the heart-change the characters were experiencing through their work. This was what impressed me most about this book. While it's clearly a romance, there's just so much more to it!

The story moves along well and beautifully weaves in themes of grace, faith, vulnerability, redemption, restoration, patience, and compassion.

The narrators did an amazing job. I kept forgetting that it wasn't really the characters themselves telling the story. They brought a lot of life to the story with their added laughs, sighs, and...talking around toothbrushes. This book is well-worth a listen! (You may even listen more than once! Because...I mean...Zorro.)

Great story

Loved this story. The narrators were perfect especially the one reading Molly's part. I love that the author went deeper than just a typical boy meets girl romance and tackled tough issues like identity and authenticity.

I DID NOT want this book to end!

This book is anointed. Absolutely beautiful, and full of faith and humor too. This is the kind of book you go back to and reread and that you are excited to give to a book loving friend.😁
And the narrators were perfect!
