Publisher's Summary

Rafe Duncan has been working his family’s compound for years in the event of a global catastrophe - and doomsday has finally arrived.

Both he and Charlie Brewer work at a facility where secret government experiments are carried out, experiments that are classified even to them. Then the plague breaks loose, and hell arrives on Earth.

Rafe and Charlie must band together to stay alive in a world where flesh-eating zombies hunt humankind. But the plague victims aren’t the worst thing Rafe and Charlie have to worry about. Government radicals are devoted to silencing the last witness to the cause of the plague by killing everyone who worked in that facility - including Rafe and Charlie.

Rafe must do everything he can to keep Charlie hidden. But the chances of them surviving in the wild alone are slim... especially while being tracked down by American mercenaries.

Only the strong will remain. To outlast the plague, they must stay alive.

Tied in all 3 books

I really enjoyed this book. After listening to the first two books from the sisters perspective I was excited to listen to this third in the series from the brothers perspective. I will stress that you have to listen to the first two before diving into this one, as this book ties in everything thats been going on and explains why Max went threw everything she went threw in book 2. Me being someone who has my own vegetable garden and loves camping and the outdoors, it really drives home that we should be prepared for anything, especially with the the political climate of recent.
My only critique would be how they kill soooo many soldiers, but none of the main characters die. It makes it as tho the soldiers are all incredibly dumb, untrained, have no aim whatsoever, and are straight up cowardly. While the main characters all have the best aim on the planet and are trained killers unfazed my soldiers and kill them at will. That was a bit unrealistic to me (Yes I said unrealistic while talking about a zombie book). Other than that this book was great. I loved how the book explains the origin of the virus, patient zero! I just dont understand why they keep going back to the compound! Its like "Yo, they will looking for you at the compound and sending soldiers there, why not just leave?"

Love the family dynamics....

Love the family dynamics, especially in the virus situation. Sibling teasing, devotion and family comment. Toss in some romance, evil government suits and a lower military want to be a general.
You have an amazing series... Looking forward to book 4!

One of THE BEST post-apocalyptic series ever!

I loved this series. This last book Alive in particular. It tied all the books and all the characters and their individual stories very well and cleverly, I might add.
The characters were all well created and built upon and done in an easy and intelligent manner. Everyone had a defined place and each character seemed imperative and integral to the story. No words were seemingly wasted on any excessive storylines (which is important b/c I get bored and lose interest easily!)
Very well written by Courtney Konstantin! AND of course just as important if not more so in an audiobook, the narration by Tess Irondale. Perfectly suited voice and quiet easy to listen to! Thank you to you both for the awesome “vacation” from reality:)!!!
I would give this book and the entire series a lot more star if it were possible!
P.S. I’m really hoping there might possibly be another installment for this series🤞!?!?!?

Such a fun listen!

This series has it all... action, drama, love, life, death and so much more. I’m excited and also scared to hear how this story ends.

Almost...

Just....the word is "dragged." Yes, "drug" can be...not wrong, if you want to take it to serious grammar court, but even then the judge is going to look at you funny. But the word is "dragged." Also, you sort of lost me at "she made an animalistic noise that was inhuman." Amongst other embarrassing bits of writing style, this needed an editor. The story is good, I needed to listen to it to finish off the arc, but it needs both editing and maybe some more legit research.
