the ai voice lacks authenticity, story isn't much

The author is a good writer but the tone is off, like she would be a great for romance but not sci-fi. There's too much mystery and fear of calling the beast what it is, it left a void. I'm a die hard fan of the Alien franchise, so this was disappointing.

OK now im getting confused

OK so finally found the second book now I just need to find the first one also why does this feel like it is not cannon but some form of fanfic ? Last but not least please stop this Ai stuff it is enormesly off putting to listen to

What was the point

Not really sure what kind of story the author was going for was he supposed to have a connection to the alien or just everything in general that was going on around all of that just didn’t seem like there was much of a story going on
