LOVE FINALLY WINS OVER DRAMA, HEARTBREAK & DESPAIR

Well, this was a roller coaster for your emotions because the sexy as sin, tattooed bad boy Biker Sy was moody, broody and downright unfriendly but that was just a hard shell covering up a lot of heartache, torturous memories and gut-wrenching pain. But somehow, despite Sy's resolve never to get emotionally attached to anyone again, the mutual attraction and magnetic chemistry that was always present between the beautiful, feisty and flirty Holly managed to ignite into a couple of raw Alpha sex scenes..... which, unknown to them, was going to cause more heartache, grief and a lot of tears.

The first part of the story runs parallel to book 1 where Holly (and Kadence) ends up getting kidnapped and shot which leaves her traumatised, numb, grieving and having panic attacks. But through it all Sy was there willing to help her because he saw the same darkness and hollowness in her, as she tried to put on a brave face, that was buried deep within him too and he needed to take it away.... for her sake and his. But, for three months she pushed him away all the while keeping a heartbreaking secret from him. So when they finally rekindled, reconnected and reawakened the lust Sy was all in committed to their relationship but Holly was afraid, guilty and ashamed of the secret she still kept from him. And, when Sy finally opened up and told her why he was getting terrible nightmares sharing his heartbreaking past she knew she just couldn't add to his grief. However, as we all know from these books, secrets always come out and it's just a matter of how much damage they cause along the way but when someone is threatening Holly's life once again the anger and pain Sy is feeling towards her is outweighed by the need to protect his woman.

Their raw yet tender romance (or should I say Biker claiming) is mixed up with heartache, pain, despair and loss but there's also a passion and deep love that is forged through it all as they both come through Hell holding each other's hands. There's the usual Biker talk, dirty talk, plenty of angst between the H/H, lots of hot sex scenes, a few funny scenes and drama from a bitter dangerous husband looking for the wife he's just broken and physically abused. Nix and Kadence are also present for many scenes as their story progresses very nicely and some of the other members of the MC are involved in the storyline too - as well as a nasty Club Ho who tries to cause trouble. However, this isn't a nasty Biker MC Club but rather one that's trying to clean up their act.

Worth a credit? This was an emotionally hard listen.... I don't want to give spoilers but I have to give this WARNING that it deals with the heartbreaking anguish and ultimate death of a little girl who tried to fight the ravages of Leukaemia and what effects her untimely death ultimately has on a family. But despite this, this is a good but raw story about two emotionally broken people who, despite all their heartbreaking hang-ups, get another chance to find peace, love and hope in their lives. Dual POV's, good narration and a hard hitting creditworthy listen.

There is literally no point to this book

CONTAINS SPOILERS

this book was literally 11 hours of Holly wallowing in self pity and misery over her miscarriage. now I'm not undermining the pain mothers who suffer this, but she had absolutely no right to keep it from him for so long, she made it worse for herself he was literally the one person in ths world who would understand her pain and she lied to him for months and months, taking away his right to mourn and grieve. Instead of her being strong we get to hear "dont push me I'm not ready" OMG if I heard that phrase one more time I was going to throw my phone. She is one of the most selfish characters I have listened to, I understand her grief but its not just about her. Then they throw in this half ass suspense moment at the end that is just so pointless and stupid. The entire plot was centered around her and the miscarriage with a few stupid scenes thrown in for good measure. if they had thrown in a decent bad guy i might not think it a complete loss but alas, It was a complete waste of a book.
The narrator's were good though lol

Knight Rebels MC book 2

I really liked this one. It was an emotional ride but well worth it. I loved both Sy and Holly. their journey together was beautiful. I also like that I go to see a continuation of Kadence and Nix's story. Definitely recommend not only the book but the entire series

Mc romance. 1POV. HEA. Standalone.

This is a “hot damn” Mc romance with angst.
It’s a bit of an emotional listen. It’s also a bit too long. The narration is great. There’s a short HEA and although this book can be a standalone, there are books before and after this.

good but...

I didn't care for the unreasonable guilt spiral the female character falls into towards the end of the book. I felt her response to the tragedy was perfectly normal and once the secret was revealed she should have been shown more compassion and understanding early on as well as not thrusting herself into a position of guilt. imo

Just ok

I accidentally listened to this story before the first story, I’m not sure if I’m glad I did or not. If I listened to the other one first I never would have listened to this one because that one was SO bad. So listening to this first tricked me into thinking that one would be ok. The characters of Sy and Holly were way more interesting and likable than Cadence and Nix. I feel like there was more detail about Nix and Cadence relationship in this book than in their own book though, so that was weird. And the same awful narrators made this book hard to finish. Jesse is the most interesting character so I’ll probably listen to his book when it comes out and keep my fingers crossed that the narrators don’t ruin it.

dark sorrow, darker lust....

Sy has lost a lot in his life. He knows nothing but anger, and reacts with nothing but deep sorrow, until his paths cross with Holly. Sy is in such a crusty mood, she nicknames him "sunshine" and immediately she captures his curiosity on why she's not afraid of him like everyone else.

Holly is attracted to the tattooed handsome strong silent Sy. When Holly's life is threatened Sy needs to decide where his priorities lie, and if he wants to live in the past or in the present.

This story has dark lust, and fun dark sexy scene's and Joe Arden and Lidia Dornet bring the characters to life.

Healing together

Holly is intrigued by Sy when she meets him, goung so far as nicknaming the cranky, angry man "Sunshine". A traumatic event she experiences with her best friend leads her down the long dark tunnel of depression and panic attacks. The only time she doesn't feel overwhelmed with everything is when he is near.
Sy has had to live through something that no one should have to experience. He recognizes the darkness in Holly's eyes and he refuses to lose her to it. Even if it means opening himself up after he swore never to do that again.

Their story begins in book 1. The author does a wonderful job of weaving the stories so that you get the full picture, not necessarily going over what happened but letting you see the scene from a different perspective. The story brought tears to my eyes a few times.
