Publisher's Summary

Lena is Trille's best friend, even if she is a girl. And there is never an ordinary day when you've got a best friend like Lena.

Hardly a day passes without Trille and Lena inventing some kind of adventure that often ends in trouble. Whether it's coaxing a cow onto a boat or tobogganing down the steepest and iciest hill with a chicken, there is always a thrill - and sometimes an injury - to be had. Trille loves to share everything with Lena, even Auntie Granny's waffles, which make everything just perfect. But when Lena has to move away, and Auntie Granny leaves the world, it sometimes seems nothing will ever be right again.

The warmth of friendship and the support of family suffuses this novel, proving that when times are tough, a little taste of sweetness can make all the difference.

very fun!

We loved this heartfelt and hilarious book. Note: one young character does frequently call others "idiot" and there's plenty of bathroom humor. If that doesn't bother you, you'll love this book.

Don’t waste your time

Lena has a bad temper and calls people stupid many times. She says angry things throughout the book. It’s just a mediocre book about children getting into mischief and I see no value in it. There are WAY better, more interesting books to put in our minds and spend time reading or listening to.

Loved by whole family

We didn’t think we’d find another book we all loved after finishing the Wingfeather books, but this one delighted us all. We laughed out loud and a few tears glistened our eyes…absolutely excellent book.

A Great Audible for Kids and Parents a Like

My children and I greatly enjoyed this book. The narator was excellent. It is a humorous book, at times sad, but the overall tone is humor. My children and I laughed out loud numerous times. Considering listening to the other books by the author.
