In a tragic tale of heroism and perservereance, follow the Sager orphans as they take the Oregon Trail in the hopes of finding a new life. When the seven children's parents perish on the journey, how will they survive?

This account remains one of the most authentic firsthand accounts of the journeys and hardships of the pioneers in the early West.

Interesting to hear the intertwined lives of so many people. The course to Oregon was brutal and deadly Religion, so many different cultures and disease. This is such a personal story.

The narrator mispronounced several place names which seemed sloppy.

I understand that this is historical document but the title seemed misleading. Most of the story took place once the family made it to Oregon. Based on the title, I was expecting more information about the actual trail experience. However, this was more about some pioneer children in Oregon and the difficult life they had once they were there.

Great insight to first hand non fiction experiences of settlers along the Oregon trail. Very quick listen.

what sadness, this book brings everything to life about 1844. It is truly amazing what people pioneered and the struggles they faced.

The story was good. If you slow the speed of the reader and can get past the monotone emotionless narrator it is possible to enjoy the story presented. I'd like to actually read this book again myself and be my own narrator.

Terrible Narration
