Emotional and Powerful!

Maddie is the definition of strength. She told this reality so openly and beautifully. I think everyone should listen to this as a way to understand how to show up in the world for yourself, and the people around you. I even picked up some parenting nuggets. 🫶🏻

Raw and real

It is rare to read an authentic recounting of something like this that isn’t belaboured with details and “gossip.” Corman shares herself, not with finger-pointing or blame but with bluntness and compassion. This story doesn’t wrap everything up and make life seem easy if you just do this or that. Corman is okay being a work in progress and that is so refreshing. I feel like I’d like to listen to this again, not only because it was engaging, funny even at times, but because it’s real and honest and yes, brave. If you’ve ever needed courage to make the hard decisions in the midst of the messiness of life, give this a listen.

My first audio book and I loved it!!! Was very relatable for me. My story has a different scandal ha! But still was able to relate! Thank you!

So raw and honest

I don’t know how I happened upon this story in the news (years later) and saw that Maddie (an actress I was familiar with) had done a 1 woman show! I went to see if it had been published so I could read it and was thrilled to Find it here! The writing and performance is so raw and honest but I couldn’t stop listening!!! So good!

Compassion in it's most human form.💓

Absolutely wonderful. She shares the mess of healing and the confusion of feeling love alongside horror beautifully.
