In the dim shadows of twilight, when the moss-draped oaks of the South Carolina Lowcountry sigh in the wind and the waters of the Waccamaw Neck shimmer like scattered silver beneath a waning moon, the locals know better than to wander too near the crumbling remnants of the old Flagg estate.
For there, amidst the entangled vines and weathered brick, the spirit of Alice Flagg still wanders—her translucent form drifting through the rooms where she once lived, her mournful eyes forever searching, her lips parted in a perpetual whisper for the lover she was never permitted to name.

They say that on quiet nights, when the moon hangs low over the cypress trees and the water grows still as glass, you can still see her ghostly figure drifting toward the lake's edge, her translucent fingers reaching out toward the murky depths below, still searching for the ring that was stolen from her, still hoping that somewhere beneath the dark water, a love that was never allowed to bloom might one day be reclaimed...
