honest, warm and encouraging

I started the book with a bias, thinking this is Elon’s Mom. I finished the book knowing her as Maye Musk.

No one is born a audio reader and her “robotic way” as some other review might say actually fits her character as you get to know her story. Simple, straightforward, honest and hardworking.

while life can’t be replicated, the tools/perspectives/attitudes we have towards life are shareable and her advices and sincere and non-pretentious.

I enjoyed the book more than i expected.

The most fabulous

I literally lived side by side with this fantastic woman for several weeks, listening to her advice, getting inspired by her good energy and strong personality!

A book I wish I would have read four years ago

After surviving the fallout from abuse and neglect, I can only comment that I wish I had read this book sooner.

Adventure, Work, Hope, Love, and Family

Maye Musk had an interesting childhood. Her parents were hard working and managed to live a life full of adventure too. They loved one another and their children. As the story moves forward, she shares her struggles in life and her mistakes hoping to help others make wiser choices. She does this in a down to earth and caring way. The chapters regarding her marriage are difficult and sad. From her marriage came her three children. and If there is an enduring theme, it is the love of her family. Building her practice as a registered dietician in multiple cities and countries is an important part of her journey. Modeling was part of her life and provided income. In her younger days, her life was less about glamour and more about work, family, struggle and persistence. As she became older, her life became more glamorous and her modeling career reached even greater success. But success has many aspects, and I think it is her love and hope that makes this book so valuable to read or listen to.

I normally read print books. Maye Musk read the book and I would recommend the audio version to other readers.

Very pragmatic

I enjoyed the audio, it was very easy to follow with very good life tips. I like the fact that Maye was honest about her struggles and feelings, she is admirable and a very sweet woman.
