Publisher's summary

After a near death experience, Michelle has vowed to do her job, magical assistance for the police, and leave the heroics to someone else. Besides, life should be settling down for her since the trolls have been captured and the sorceress was neutralized. Unfortunately, the power behind the sorceress wants her dead, Elron starts acting funny, a magical creature wreaks havoc on a town, and there's trouble with the werewolves. As if that wasn't enough, the clans have started to notice her power and she has more reasons than ever to fear the clans.

Things go from bad to worse when Michelle's best friend is abducted, and she must decide between her friend and her vow to stay out of dangerous situations.

Oh Wow!

this was a great story. I started with book 2 and feel i missed some things but I truly enjoyed the story. It was about a witch who help the police with deactivating magical things. She had to deal with things like a T Rex that comes home with her, a missing friend, battling crazy werewolf and a demon possessed elf to rescue her missing friend; Thank god she has friends to come to her aide. Her kinda boyfriend who is an elf, named Elron and werewolves etc. I just love the elf who likes her, Elron. I look forward to reading the next story in this series.

Talk about narration. Wow i was blown away with the narrator. I had to look to make sure it was just one person doing all these voices. The female voices were just fantastic. He was great.

Great Story, Interesting Characters!

Overall, A Witch's Path was a great story, that moves at a steady pace. I really enjoyed the characters, especially Elron, his story definitely pulls on your heart strings.

Jeff Hays did a fantastic job narrating this story! I was very impressed with wide range of voices he could project. I especially loved the Gargoyles voice. In addition to the multiple voices, he did an amazing job with the different emotions throughout the story! His narration really enhanced the story.

Another wonderful new author I have found!

I received this book for free from the author/narrator for an honest and unbiased review.

I must add that I have also found a new favorite narrator as well. Jeff can read just about anything and I would love it. I am definitely going back to read book one and then read book 3 after that. And I might re listen to book 2 again. There's not a lot of back story but enough to help me understand what I missed in book one. I am so excited to have found this book through audioboom and to be gifted for an honest review. Thank you so much.
Worth a credit - Heck YES!!!

Happy Reading/Listening!!!

Better than the first

I don't want to spoil any of the plot that made this story so engaging for me. So I'll leave with saying that it carried fantastically well from the first book and really improved overall.

What I'll comment more on is Jeff Hay's narration. The quality of this recording somehow felt improved. But without changing the feel he brought to the first book. Two major moments of the narration that stood out to me are how it really sounds like someone is talking through a phone during scenes where that is exactly how they should sound. The second is how chills literally ran down from my ears when he first narrated the gargoyle. If I ever get the chance I'll have to ask how many voices he tried until getting the perfect one.

Jeff Hays is *amazing*

Note: In exchange for an unbiased review, the author, publisher, and/or narrator were kind enough to provide an audio version of this book at no charge via AudiobookBlast.

Jeff Hays is quickly becoming my favorite narrator. The depth and breadth of talent this guy has is such that I can't even put adequate words to it. He's one of the few narrators who can narrate a book from a female perspective and have the listener totally forget it's a guy. The novel itself is good too; I understand this is book #2, but I'm not sure whether there are more in the series after this. If so, I'll definitely keep up with it so I can see how Michelle's story progresses.

Enjoyable Listen

This is the first book in the series that I listened to and it was very enjoyable. The connection between the characters and the storyline. I will definitely be listening to the previous book in order to get the full story.
The story deals with a supernatural world and it makes you love it. Michelle, a witch, helps stop crime and looks out for magical things. And it also brings in romance. What more could you ask for.

Fun and Entertaining

Any additional comments?

Good, fun, humorous, entertaining and enjoyable story.

Michelle is a modern day witch who consults with the police on their cases. Helping to solve supernatural crimes. Full of all kinds of supernatural beings good and bad. In this installment Michelle is working on the kidnapping case of her friend and fellow supernatural being. Love the budding relationship with Elron. While some questions are answered in this book there are many unanswered questions as well. With the world and characters the author has created there is definitely the potential for many more books in this series.

Jeff Hays is bringing Audiobook narration to a whole new level. Amazing job. All the different character voices are fantastic. You can tell he puts his heart into each narration. He doesn't just narrate a book he brings the characters to life. He is one of those narrators that can read a phone book and make it interesting.

My one complaint is that the female voice was to fast/soft and she sounded like she was an air head or in a dream world. Even though it's an amazing narration, I didn't care for the voice of Michelle.

A Witch, a T-Rex and a Missing Peahen

If this is your first book in the series, you’ll want to know a few things about the world N.E. Conneely created. Michelle, the main character, lives in a world where magic and magical creatures are real and every one knows about it. There are even people with magical abilities on the police force to help with magical issues. Michelle consults for the police (and others) when their own staff cannot handle the magic crisis.

After the events in book one, Michelle is determined to keep herself out of danger while doing her job. As you’ll probably assume, that plan goes out the window when Michelle’s friend is kidnapped and a giant t-rex shows up.

The narrator did a nice job and I would definitely listen to another book performed by Jeff Hays.

Very entertaining story!

This story was great! I have not listened to the previous book but I'm planning on it.

The characters were great and the story was very engaging. She is one busy witch! So much going on at once but everything is tied up nicely at the end.

The narrator did a very good job bringing the story to life.

Totally entertaining read! It does finish in a bit of a cliffhanger. I'll have to find out what happens on the next book.

A fun listen

What made the experience of listening to A Witch's Path the most enjoyable?

I enjoy the main character and it's fun to carry on with the paranormal creatures.

What did you like best about this story?

Ilike Michelles sassiness.

Have you listened to any of Jeff Hays’s other performances before? How does this one compare?

I purchased the first book in this series so I would be up to speed when I started this one. That was my first experience listening to Jeff's narration. I listened to the audio sample and liked the narration and went from there. When I saw a males name as the narrator I thought maybe there was more than one option and I picked a different version to sample. I mean, the sample I listened to was clearly a chics voice... I started the book and was pleasantly pleased to find out it really was a male narrator and he performed Michelles voice really really good! The masculine characters were also clearly masculine. I am rather particular about listening to stories that have female characters performed by females. I don't like to hear a story with a female lead character ruined with a deep male voice that goes all high pitched as if women really sound like that and overuse inflection when we talk. This is probably the first time (and I have over 500 audiobooks) that I have enjoyed a female character narrated by a man. He's awesome.
