Publisher's Summary

When a young, pretty woman interviews for the cashier position at his tackle shop, Trevor Dawber rethinks his prayer request. Mae was not what he had in mind when he asked four elderly women to pray for him in hiring his first employee. She was just the kind of lure he didn't need in his fishing store.

Sweet and Heartwarming!

This was a very sweet, heartwarming story. Trevor Dawber and Mae are such a delightful couple and their story was realistic and down to earth. Not knowing a thing about fishing I was a bit lost in some parts of this story, however it did manage to hold my interest. The secondary characters in the story were all likable and really added to the story. The narrators did a fabulous job with the narration. The voices were all clear and distinguishable and they showed emotion when and where it was necessary. I especially liked the fact that Alex did all the male voices and Bo did the female voices. This made the book so much more enjoyable! (I wish all audiobooks were like this when there are male and female narrators instead of having them switch chapter by chapter!) I received a free copy and am providing an unbiased review.

Is there time for both?

A Wife and a River : Sherri Schoenborn Murray A sweet clean Christian romance. When two people that love fishing meet things start on a fun filled adventure. The quirky characters grow on the listener as the story developed. There are some humorous moments and some that will make you hold your breath. I read the Kindle e-book a year back, but when I was able to get the audiobook version I knew I wanted to listen. The narration was well done. The characters were well portrayed. Alex Hyde-White, Bo Hudson make this audiobook even more enjoyable. I was given this free review copy audiobook at my request and have voluntarily left this review.

Sweet Love Story

I really enjoyed listening to this book! There was only one thing that made it difficult to listen to a few short times-there are some edits that still need to be made where the man reading the story stops and starts over a line as if it would be cut out later. I think someone just overlooked it. But it was a great story to listen to!

WONDERFUL ROMANCE!

Who says fishing can't bring a couple together? Take one look at Trevor Dauber and you'll fall hook, line & sinker. There are plenty of fish in the sea (ok enough with the cheesy lines lol!), but when Trevor meets Mae, he got a lot more than he bargained for. Wonderful Christian romance, and loved the narration also. I'm glad to have found it, and would definitely listen to more from both author and narrator :) I was given this free review copy audiobook at my request and have voluntarily left this review.

enjoyable but not 5 star

I enjoyed this for a light listen though there are quite a few glitches in the recording...fluctuations in volume, undeleted errors such as the narrator saying 'whoops' then correcting his mistake.
