The world is in chaos, but Violet's more focused on the wolf stalking her . . .

With a war looming and a moody vampire roommate, Violet has her hands full these days. Add on a shifter stalking her at all hours of the day and night, and she's about to lose her mind.

When Violet realizes the wolves aren't quite on her side yet, she has to make a choice. Absolve the wolves of their responsibility to the world, or use the power Easton inadvertently granted her and show them what a true leader looks like. She can force them to submit to her rule, but that isn't Violet's way.

Enlisting Clara and Dave to help her, Violet comes up with a plan to win the loyalty of the New Orleans clan, but it comes with one major complication.

She falls in love. For real this time.

But matters of the heart aren't on Violet's to-do list. She has a war to win, a vampire queen to fetch pickles and ice cream for, and a devil to save.

Love is just going to have to wait . . .

I enjoy the story, although this book is not may favorite in the series. It just seems to be written in a way that makes me think k nobody edited the book.

Sometimes the story makes jumps forward without explanation, which makes it hard to follow at times. The business with the pack seemed brusque and not well-thought out. I really want to like this book but there are just parts that leave me confused.

Re: voice acting, I love her voice but I’m not sure the accents are working. I don’t see Clara as Swedish, but that’s how she sounds, Lucifer sounds like he’s from Italy, maybe? And the pack’s accents feel more like out in the sticks in Alabama, than New Orleans. It’s hard to take Easton seriously.
