Wanted more

I love the premise. It grabbed me from the beginning but slowed in the middle. I enjoyed the ending but wish there had been more to it. And I wish I’d felt a bit more chemistry between the characters.

Entertaining, quick listen

Entertaining story! The narrator did a good job; she has a nice accent. I liked the set-up for this story. Going to a psychiatrist because weird things are happening to you; only to find out that you are becoming a werewolf. Anneke is the doctor, who has some knowledge of the paranormal since she’s an empath. The empath stuff was an interesting addition to the story. Anneke wants to help Caleb with his “issue”, but she’s not exactly well versed in all things werewolf. There is a bit of a love connection, but they are quite awkward with each other. Overall, an interesting take on becoming a werewolf that kept me entertained for the whole thing.

The anxiety of a werewolf

I am not into paranormal. But I thought I'd give this one a try. It was a shorter listen. I really enjoyed it. The narrator made me feel for these two characters. Caleb and his anxiety for his potential to harm. Especially Anneke who he is falling for.

Interesting take on a werewolf story

This book wasn't bad. It is an interesting take on dealing with becoming a werewolf.

I know this is a novella, but I wanted a little more worldbuilding. What kind of paranormal creatures inhabit this world? Do they interact with each other? Do non-paranormal people know about the paranormals in their midst? I feel like there could have been more to this just so readers have a better feel for what's going on outside of Anneke and Caleb.

I really liked the fact that Anneke is a psychiatrist. It think it would be awesome if she became a psychiatrist specifically for the paranormal community. Now that is something I could get behind. Think of all the werewolves, vampires, and beasties that would come for appointments and the problems they would have. Somebody write this!

I listened to the audiobook and thought the narrator, Juliette Longwell, had a very soothing voice. I do wish she had slightly more variety in her character voices because sometimes it wasn't always clear who was speaking. Longwell has the perfect voice for someone who was a psychiatrist, but sometimes that meant that there wasn't enough modulation for intense scenes.

A Werewolf State of Mind!

This is a very interesting story. It is a short and quick read or in this case listen. The story is a bit of paranormal read with a werewolf presence. Caleb is having some very strange dreams so he seeks professional help. Anneke is a psychiatrist with her own brand of talent. When Caleb walks in she knows but needs to gently lead him to the answers. As they work together for a solution for his problem the two form a budding friendship that definitely becomes more; especially with the possibility of added werewolf touches added to the mix. I like the characters and the plot is interesting.

Good book

I really enjoyed this book. It’s was quick book to listen too, but we’ll worth it. I can’t wait to try another one her books. The narrator voice was very easy to listen to.

Short, but Sweet

This was a fun quick read, that left me wanting more. The narration got a little boring but was still very enjoyable, and my only wish was that it was longer. Other than that it's totally worth the time, money, or credits spent.

great paranormal read

I received this book for free for a honest review. this story was amazing. lived the characters and their banter towards one another. the storyline was well written and held together. the narrator did not disappoint and brought the characters to life .
