Qhuinn and Blaylock

This book revisits my favorite couple. My heart broke with what Lucas did, but I can see he thought it was the best option. It was great catching up with the BDB. One of the best series i have read

A SAD & SORROWFUL STORY.. & WELCOME WARM ❤️HUGS TOO

Picking up and joining the characters in the Black Dagger Brotherhood Mansion again is always a treat and I love the way JR Ward crafts her unique fantasy world in Caldwell and the tight friendship these band of warrior vampires have forged from difficult beginnings. Blay and Qhuinn are already a happily mated couple.. but a winter storm brings havoc, heartache and loss and Blay’s love will have to support a very emotional Qhuinn through his grief, through his quest to find answers and through his own guilt. There’s MM sex, sadness, soul-searching, a heavenly revelation, yrs old love letters find the right heart to be read, tenderness and wisdom leads to healing, hope and love.. AND yay finally a Ceremony too. Zhadist is a star at being a brother of worth, a shoulder to cry on and giving emotional wise words of wisdom.. and Lassiter.. well he lit up the room with his God given goodness and joy. Various POV’s as usual but mainly Qhuinn and Blay’s and I love the unique style of speech JRW gives to her much-loved alpha heroes. Well, Jim Frangione did another stellar performance at bringing the characters and their roles and hearts to life and he excels at bringing all the emotions needed for this story too. WORTH A CREDIT? Yes, they're a regular and constant addition to my library and they’re always on preorder as soon as I get the merest whiff that a new one is about to be released.

Warmed my heart

What an excellent tale. The hardness of the Black Dagger Brotherhood tempered by the softness of their hearts. I've read all the books and this has to be one of my favourites, with Blay and Quin taking centre stage.

Perfect Christmas Caldwell

Blay and Qhuinn are my favourite pairing in the Caldwell vampires world.
Though they finally got together a few years ago in terms of book release, and much has happened, this book sees more shocks for Qhuinn and a strengthening of their relationship.
Lassiter shows his more emotional side, his serious side and we also learn more about Lucas.
It’s fun, romantic, and also poignant, but one of the most beautiful matings written so far.
The narrator captures the right level and tone to differentiate each character.
A great listen.

Disappointed

I was super excited to finally get this book, being an avid fan. However, the storyline was awful and depressing. No fun antics, sarcasm laugh out loud parts of the story, like you expect in a Black Dagger novel, just emotional downs and serious depression with erotica thrown in at weird times within the story, for us fans I thought. It’s my least liked book from The Black Dagger Brotherhood series. I won’t be purchasing the hard copy book.
