Living under the shadow of her controlling uncle, Lady Georgiana Bryson finds solace in her covert literary endeavors and her faithful greyhound, Flint. Regarded as a wallflower, Georgiana has shied away from love until she crosses paths with the handsome Earl of Huntingdon. Could that finally be what the poets write about?

Victor Colborne, the Earl of Huntingdon, presents a mask of carefree abandon to society, secretly nursing a heart still raw from his fiancée’s death. Devoted to scholarly pursuits—and the mysterious novels of an author who seems to understand his very soul, he begins to question everything he thought he knew about love…

As their worlds collide, Georgiana and Victor find themselves in a romance straight out of the pages of a book…When her uncle schemes to marry her to a cruel suitor, will they manage to stand up against societal expectations and family opposition to fight for a future together? Or will the price of love ultimately prove too high to pay?

The story itself was interesting and a bit different from many romance novels. I loved how the author goes into detail and describes even small features. However, the virtual voice was disturbing. It paused at the wrong times, emphasized the wrong words and didn’t emphasize the right ones. It was also fairly monotone. I wouldn’t recommend this story unless they change how it is narrated.

Very descriptive
