The story

Bad Narrator, Good Book

The narrator sounds like he has a lisp and is talking through a phone. it almost drags down one of the better HH books.

Fantastic!

The Horus heresy novels have been proving to be an amazing look back into the lives of characters before, during, and after their fall and this book solidifies that notion. Great work from the narrator and the author for really breaking through to the tragedy of Magnus the Red.

great but first few chapters difficult to hear

the first few chapters were almost impossible to get through due to the narrator and poor recording feedback.

Pretty good

I really enjoyed that a lot of the book was from the three rembrancer's perspective. Seeing Ahriman's vulnerability with Weirdmake was cool too.
I still think Magnus screwed up too much to be truly believable, but I guess the McNeil probably had to make sure certain things happened, even if it seems a bit illogical.

Love this book

Wasn’t really into wizard or magic stories but this book one me over. It’s slow in the beginning but as the author says in the end it’s all for good reason! Highly recommend

A great addition to the Horus Heresy series. Great writing and narration for this title.

Wasn't a fan of the narrator. I would have preferred some of the narrator's from the other Horus Heresy novels.
