In honor of Madeleine L'Engle's 100th Birthday, fans are invited to enjoy this archival audiobook, originally recorded in 1996 and newly restored! Listen to the voice of the author, as Madeleine L'Engle reads A Swiftly Tilting Planet.

Fifteen-year-old Charles Wallace and the unicorn Gaudior undertake a perilous journey through time in a desperate attempt to stop the destruction of the world by the mad dictator Madog Branzillo. They are not alone in their quest. Charles Wallace's sister, Meg--grown and expecting her first child, but still able to enter her brother's thoughts and emotions by "kything"--goes with him in spirit. But in overcoming the challenges, Charles Wallace must face the ultimate test of his faith and will, as he is sent within four people from another time, there to search for a way to avert the tragedy threatening them all.

A Swiftly Tilting Planet is the third book in The Time Quintet, which consists of A Wrinkle in Time (a Newbery Medal winner), A Wind in the Door, A Swiftly Tilting Planet, Many Waters, and An Acceptable Time.

The story was amazing as all of the previous stories have been.Having it narrated by the author was such a special treat. I listened to it with the little boy I care for. He seems to enjoy the story and picked for the ride home everytime.

I liked this narration before all the more commercial ones. Sometimes you never know if it will work. And of course I have always loved the book.
