Struggle to feel engaged

Ever have an interaction with someone that leaves you completely blank, even though you know you should be happy to meet them? Really sweet guy you're set up on a blind date with- has a nice personality, cute dog, good job, wants what you want, yet .... you feel nothing and just want to go home?
Yeah .... that's this book. there's nothing wrong with it, there's no terrible story telling, it's your typical rom com novella. Yet ... I nothing this book so hard.

so sweet and a little unpredictable

such a sweet story. not a deep write but surface level love story that has sweet characters and a lovely story

Adorable!!

I loved it. A very easy feel good beach read. Reads similar to a Hallmark or Great Am. Family. Very sweet, wholesome clean, but with much better humor.

I was hesitant at first to actually start the book. There were a few lackluster reviews. Almost immediately I disagreed with several points from the less-than-favorable reviews. I found the dialog and situations to be very funny, albeit a bit silly. Also, I did not find it slow at at the beginning., just the opposite as the first encounter is quite intense and nutty. The romance was a cross between instantaneous and a slow burn but very sweet. Honestly, the dogs stole the show! If you are a dog lover, especially if you are an owner, you will totally relate to the canine antics in this book. All in all, with the good narration as the driver of solid writing of great characters and wotty banter you can't go wrong with this one.
There was one little negative, the FMC is a little bit selfish and very immature, but understandable given the incredible sheltered upbringing and constant scrutiny of a very small time.

I definitely can reccommend this book. So sit back and enjoy the warm, salty, sea breeze, because yes you really smell it!
