Jack Ross is lonely. It feels like he has lost everything that gave his life meaning. His wife Sherry died 19 months ago. He retired from practicing law nine months ago. Not for me
I find it difficult to give a fair review because this book just was not for me. There was far too much (for me) explanation of the game and its rules. I could see if it were relevant to the story, but it was not. Also, far too much was left hanging. I understand (now!) that this to be a series, but I dislike loose threads.

Very fun read!
Of course I loved the story line of Jack being introduced to pickleball! I also enjoyed the depth of the characters and of the mysterious back plot that came to an explosive confrontation in the final chapter.
