A murder and a missing book have Addie Greyborne running around her Massachusetts town trying to read the clues....

Martha, the bakery owner, has no alibi - and has been seen in a heated argument with the victim. And the next thing Addie knows, that first edition has gone missing. Is there a connection between the body and the treasured tome? If there is, it's up to Addie to find a killer with a motive as hidden as Frances Hodgson Burnett's famous garden....

loving this series
I started with the first book and I haven't been able to stop. I just finished the 5th book and moving on to the next. The characters just pull you in and you can't wait to see what happens. I'm so glad I ran across this series.

The story was engaging, but the narration was not.
Not keen on the narrator; i found the deliberate tempo with no inflections when performing the background story difficult to listen to, though she did a good job on the young female voices.

I HAVE SO ENJOYED WATCHING ADDIE SETTLE INTO HER HOME. LAUREN ELLIOTT IS A TALENT WHO DRAWS YOU INTO HER STORY AND HER CHARACTERS. THE READER FEELS WHAT THEY FEEL, GOOD OR BAD, SAD OR HAPPY, AND SO ON. YES, IT IS A COZY, BUT THAT DOESN'T MEAN IT IS FLAT AND WITHOUT EMOTION. THIS SERIES RUNS THE GAMUT OF EMOTIONS. IT IS WHAT MAKES THESE CHARACTERS SO RELATABLE. THIS BOOK WAS NO EXCEPTION, BUT THE UNDERLYING FEEL THROUGHOUT THIS BOOK WAS STRENGTH, LOVE, AND ACCEPTANCE. I LOVED IT, AND I LOVE THESE CHARACTERS. NOW COMES THE HARD PART - WAITING FOR THE NEXT BOOK.
