In a small town in the smallest county in the Florida panhandle, a 25-year-old cold-case murder is reopened. A new, female police officer visits an old folks' home and finds that the prime witness in the case, Jacob Jeebs, was officially diagnosed with Alzheimer's last year and is still in the early stages.
Both the judge and the sheriff are locals, have been in their jobs for over 30 years, and remember the initial investigation very well. In fact the two of them, along with Jacob Jeebs, have been going fishing every Sunday morning for almost three decades. This new information might lead to a conviction of the main suspect from 25 years ago. But what would the legal ramifications be? An Alzheimer's patient has never testified at a trial of any kind before. How can you put him on the witness stand? How can you not? He is the only one who knows the truth. Will the defense be able tear his testimony apart, or will the prosecution defend the validity of using a witness who can't recall what he had for breakfast this morning but who can remember an event that happened years ago with extreme clarity?
A Moment of Clarity, a groundbreaking legal drama, answers those questions in a compelling, thought-provoking way.

What did you love best about A Moment of Clarity?
Robert Brewster tells an engaging tale of friendship, old fashioned sleuthing and small town politics in this unusual crime drama with an Alzheimer's patient at its center. This author narrated audio book is entertaining and warm, and well worth your time. My favorite character is the judge and I hope that Mr. Brewster will treat his fans to additional stories with the judge in lead. Well done.Alzheimer's Patient Holds Key to Cold Case
