A Match for Bernadette

The eleventh book in the Marianne's Mail Order Bride series. Flavius( Big Tom) and Bernadette's second chance story. She comes to Denver, Colorado and the first man she sees is Big Tom the man she has loved for years and thought was dead. They will not get off to a very good start as he can not get over his past and the treatment he had at the hands of an evil woman as a child. I enjoyed seeing these two get a happy ending. The voice of Keith A. Robinson drew me into the story and did not let go until the story was finished. I would recommend this audio book.

A Powerfully Captivating Story!

Wow, what a powerfully captivating story from the opening chapter! The depth contained in the writing covers multiple topics throughout the story with such compelling twists and turns. Great character descriptions and their stories are full of raw and moving honesty.
It was interesting to learn more about the Quakers/Friends and their beliefs. I really enjoyed the connections to Ms. Parker’s characters from The Pinkerton Matchmakers.
Keith A Robinson’s voicework, with his multiple voices, was clear and enjoyable.
I received an audio copy from Booksprout and the rating & review are all my own.

Lots of drama with this one

Whew! This is a roller coaster of joy, shame, shock and secrets. I like that she takes racial issues head on. It’ll make you think. I didn’t care for the male narrator. It’s just not what I had in my head.

just as good as an audiobook

This was such a compelling and captivating story. The storyline was great, as well as how well the characters were written. There were a lot of secrets and suprises that made the story that much more enjoyable and great. There were also appearances from several of the authors older stories. This is one of the few mail order stories I enjoyed. This was just as good as an audiobook as it was on kindle.

I received a copy of the book via Booksprout and am voluntarily leaving an honest review of my own thoughts and opinions

fantastic

The story is fantastic. The writing is fantastic. One downfall is the narration. When the character thinks to themselves, the audio changes. I have no issue with that, but it bleeds into the regular reading of the book.
