When a city woman meets a country man....

Rorie Campbell has a pleasant, predictable life in San Francisco, where she's seeing a pleasant, predictable man. Then, while she's on vacation, her car breaks down on an Oregon country road, and horse rancher Clay Franklin comes to her rescue. Rorie soon discovers that a city girl can fall in love with a country man. And the other way around.... But Clay has no right to return her feelings because he's engaged to another woman! Awesome narration!!

I love Karen's voice and it suits the story so well. So much warmth and emotion. I listen to this story and the booktown mystery series she did over and over again!!

Want to like it

Could not handle narrator. I’m from what is considered the country and this was just not my cup of tea. Could not follow the story line because of the narrative performance.

Disappointed with Delivery

I just couldn’t deal with the female voice trying to read the male part which sounded more like an elderly woman as the love interest - just couldn’t put it aside and eventually stopped the reading

Story was ok

The story was ok, but the narration was so annoying! Sorta choppy, halted speaking that totally distracted from the story - made it sound so cheesy. Slow too - I had to speed her up a notch.
