Loved the truths in the book and the way she adds to the story the bible gives you the real truth! a great study along with it!

Life changing book

This book opened my eyes to just how much I did not know about God and the bible, it was the most amazing thing ever to experience the story of Jesus's lineage and just how God's ways are so different from ours.

I will listen again this time really taking notes, I have definitely grown spiritually and I thank God for this book and using this author.
Tje reader is excellent, I loved how she brought the characters to life and made me really connect with them.
I can't wait to get the next book.

Interesting interruption of these 5 women

The book mostly follows the Bible. The last book, about Mary, is the weak point. The time frame at the end sounds like the last three years of Yeshua's life only lasted a few months. Also, all through the book there are phrases and sentences repeated to the point that it was distracting to me. This is the editor's mistake probable. I will tell friends that they should read or hear it, and for those who also buy audio books to be ready for these repeats.

Ordinary women of the Bible

Thru this excellent writing of Francine Rivers and wonderful narration by Winona Owen I have come to see how God uses the plain and every day people of this world for His own purposes. Each woman following God’s word has a large impact on our world. It was interesting to see their struggles as well as their blessings. Truly a great read. It has encouraged me for further Bible study. I look forward to further books by Francine Rivers.

A must read

This book told the stories perfectly. It really is eye-opening how women were treated back in the day but they still persevered and fought through every battle they were up against. God did not promise us easy days but he remains faithful and gives us grace no matter what. I highly recommend this book to anyone wanting to learn about five amazing women in the Bible that are not talked about so much. Their journeys will leave you in awe.

I loved hearing the perspective of these 5 women and how they fit into the story of Christ. It reminds me of how the Chosen series has been done and it makes the stories so much more real!
