Always enjoy Piper CJ and this prequel to her other series is fantastic and engaging as well

Without saying any spoilers all I can say is this was perfection for tying it into The Night and it’s Moon series!

So emotional

it's the best authors that make you feel so strongly about their characters. Piper CJ is a master of helping us do that, despite the characters being horrible people and villains. I couldn't help but feel for Ophir through all her trials. I couldn't help but rage and yell out at Dwyn and all she did. Well worth a listen and all the praise I can give.

Ruined me

Just like all of Piper CJ literature, I am ruined. Addicted. Bereft. Confused, but elated. I need more and I’m devastated that I have to wait. Ugh.

Monsters explained

Hopefully more comes after this, but love how all the creatures from the original series are created in this and Samuel’s ogin explained,great prequel to the first series!
