"Trust dies but mistrust blossoms."

After burying her father, Fiona Chalfant is left with a choice: keep the run-down ranch or sell it and move on. Great book

I listened to this one on audio. The narrator did a great job in bringing this book to life. Barbara Goss brings you a great book with suspense, romance, and the unexpected. The characters are well-written and well-thought-out. Listen or read, you won't regret it.

Sweet Love Story

This book about Lance and Fiona is not only a sweet love story, but laced with adventure. Lance has answered the ad Fiona put in the papers for a foreman for her farm. Everything was working out not only on the farm but with the growing relationship between the two. Lance's little boy was settling in and Fiona fell in love with him quickly. But Lance did not realize they had hired a man who was trying to take the farm from Fiona. God works in wonderful ways as the story progresses. This is a very enjoyable book. Sweet and clean.

The narrator is good and brings the characters to life.

I received this audiobook from the author and am voluntarily leaving my honest review.

Learning Trust

Listening to the audiobook of this story was a pleasure. Narrator was good and loved the characters and storyline. Fiona just lost her Father and she is all alone. How will she survive and run the farm. After speaking to her Pastor, she decided to run an ad for a foreman. This will allow her to keep the farm going and not have to leave the only home she has known. After several replies, she selects Lance. Things are strange in the beginning, as a woman alone, but she takes a quick interest in Lance’s son. Just when things are looking up, the boy disappears and so does one of the workers. What will happen now? If I say anything else, it would spoil the story, so go ahead and get a copy of the book to read. You won’t regret it.
I was given a copy of the book by the author for an honest review.

I liked the story overall

The story of Fiona and Lance is one of two people learning to trust each other. Her half-brother Al returns to town but doesn't make his name known until the end of the story. I didn't understand the part where he was not held accountable for his crimes, but it was nice to know that he decided to dedicate his life to Christ. The narrator did a nice job with the older male voices, but I thought the voices for Fiona and Lance's son were not as well done.

Loved it

I really enjoyed this story. The faith of some of the characters and the rededication to the Lord of others along with love of family made for heartwarming story. The author wrote in an element of suspense to help keep the story interesting.

The narration was well done, it was very easy to understand.

Another great book by Miss Goss!

Fiona Shawfaunt recently lost her father and his left the entire ranch to her she has two options hire someone to run the ranch or sell it. The last thing Fiona wants to do is sell the place that encaptures all her best life‘s memories and where is she feels closest to her mother and father. With some good advice from her pastor Fiona decides to write ads for out-of-town newspapers looking for a ranch foreman. She receives almost a dozen letters but the one from Lance sounds the best he has a four-year-old son and seems very caring and wanting to make certain in advance a song will also be welcome and that is something Fiona is more than happy to do. Although she has never really been around children she takes to Little Billy immediately and their relationship comes and grows quite quickly. The only problem is Lance she has told him her father is ill and he keeps wanting to meet his employer but when he finds out she just said that to make him think he has protection he immediately takes it upon himself to now B her and her best friend/made a Vitas protector Fiona doesn’t think Lance is the most gorgeous man in the world but does find him quite handsome and he seems to be taking on the job of foreman really well. He hires four guys to be ranch hands and everyone gets along and is like family except for Alfred so when little Billy in Alfred go missing Lance immediately knows the man took his boy. Fiona couldn’t be more upset and would do anything to get Little Billy back her and Lance have become very close and she would do anything to keep the family she has started building but why did this man take little Billy and what does he want? I love this slow burn romance. Usually in these short historical romance westerns it is always Insta love but that wasn’t the case at all with Fiona and Lance I also loved that everyone in town didn’t know everyone else and the problem wasn’t solved immediately this is why I Barbara Goss is one of my favorite authors you never know what to expect from one of her books but no matter what it is I know I would love it as I did A Foreman For Fiona. This was a great historical slow burn romance that I absolutely love and definitely recommend to any fan of the genre and if you’ve never read a Barbara Doss book… Why continue to punish her self she is an awesome author in this book is a great example of why. I want to thank the author for my free AudioCopy please forgive any mistakes as I am blind and dictate my review.

Very nice

This was a nice clean western romance that had wonderful character growth throughout the story. Sometimes I struggled to differentiate between the characters because the narrator’s voice didn’t change much, but the pacing and pronunciation was great.
