loved the approach. Hard to find anything these days that does not contain four lettered words and violence. Enjoyed the narrative. But the thing that truly astonished me was the narrator Jane. How on earth can she do Australian, English, Italian, American accents without error. It is almost impossible to get Australian accurately without being Australian. Bravo Jane!!

Character friends

This book has well written characters that develop to be your friends. You root for these friends as they travel through self-discovery and a new town full of history and quirks. The writer creates interest as you feel invested in the success of your new friends. The friends cover many different stages in life as well as lifestyles, however you grow to love them all. I personally enjoyed these characters as well as the landscape of Italy.

Ambiance

She evokes a rich beautiful feel of Italy. The characters who you want to call friends are draw with distinct intimacy. uplifting

Perfect Cozy Story

Really enjoyed this one, wonderful characters and story. If you’re not dreaming of Italy, I’ll be shocked.

Interesting way author develops each character independently . Would have preferred less elaboration on the romance of the gay couple but overall e excellent story

ENDINGS, NEW BEGINNINGS, LOVE AND FINDING YOUR PLACE IN THE WORLD…

I loved this book by Nicki Pelligrino! I felt like I had been transported to a little town in Southern Italy (don’t I wish)!

The town sounded enchanting and the characters in the town…like people one would want to be friends with. The characters were expertly developed.

I’ve seen ads recently where one CAN actually buy villas or homes in Italy (or other countries) for just a few Euros. What a GREAT idea. I’d do it in a minute if I had the money or the know-how to renovate a house from top to bottom. What an exciting adventure it would be!

This was a very sweet story about several people who found themselves facing the ends of chapters in their lives, finding new paths, the courage to walk them and face what was waiting at the other end.

I very much enjoyed the narrator, Jane. McDowell. She’s has a very pleasant voice and a wonderful command of accents. I gave her performance four out of five stars only because the reader can hear every swallow or lip smack (definitely not enough to ruin the story, but noticeable). It’s entirely possible that this may be an editing issue and no fault of Ms. McDowell.

I would definitely recommend this book to others!
