Publisher's Summary

A year ago, Kelly Cannon couldn't imagine he'd end up with his formerly straight best friend. It's hard to believe he can finally kiss Blue anytime he wants...as long as they're in private. And there's the rub. Despite Kelly's promise to wait until Blue is ready to come out, he's tired of sneaking around. The cracks in their relationship are starting to show, and there might not be enough Spackle in the world to fix them.

Britton "Blue" Montgomery may not be the physics brainiac his boyfriend is, but he's not stupid. He knows Kelly isn't completely happy, but he's not ready to be the poster boy for bisexuals and gays in the NFL. He just wants to keep his head down, play the game he loves, and go home to the man he adores. Is that too much to ask?

With the truth slowly coming to the surface, Blue must make a choice. If it means losing Kelly, there's no decision to make. He has to find enough courage to face the music and hope they'll survive the fallout.

Man. Happily ever afters may not be just for Disney princesses, but they sure are a lot of work.

Fantastic!

A great second book to a sweet series. Sharp, witty and super funny. The banter and situations will make you laugh and cry out loud. They narration was as superlative as the first. I highly recommend this series!

Kelly and Blue are too cute. Alexander Cendese and Sean Crisden’s narration is so enjoyable.

Even Better Than the First

The Blueprint started my love affair with audio. Alexander Cendese and Sean Crisden really brought Kelly and Blue to life for me. They are even better in this book. The sarcasm, deadpan, exasperated deliveries ARE Blue and Kelly, in my mind.

The story is sweet, slightly angsty, and laugh out loud funny in parts. I love the way SE Harmon writes. The humor she injects into her stories is right up my alley. At times her characters might seem a little over the top, but there's always a balancing counterpoint, and I think their OTT nature makes them more relatable.

In summary, this is one of my favorite audios, the narration and story really knocking it out of the park for me!

I choose you, again, and again, and again

I can’t believe this has come to an end, my “Klue”, Kelly and Blue, (we are not calling the couple “Belly” as Blue requested not to 😂) the sweetest and one of my favorite ever couples. And wow, what a journey it is! 🥰 In case you still don’t know from the previous reviews and after following me for a long time, S.E. Harmon is solely responsible for converting me into loving sports romances and she definitely is the one who encourages me to the path of reading more contemporary romances. 😌 I loved the first book “The Blueprint” and it’s also hands down one of the best and masterfully done friends to lovers story. And it ended with a definitely HFN. But I’ll admit that I was worried. 😅 How would Miss Harmon craft and manipulate into getting their happily ever after without sacrificing their careers? It was a damn difficult task! 😳 Of course, I shouldn’t have doubted because I think this book has one of the most beautiful and satisfying HEAs among all the books I’ve ever read. Now now, enough raving and let’s move onto reviewing. 😘

Kelly is tired, just tired of everything after pretending Blue doesn’t belong to him in public eyes for the sake of his career for six months. Blue wanted to come out for him when they first decided they would be together. But now, he’s very reluctant to change what’s been working for them, at least on the surface. But it’s not enough for Kelly. He’s starting to resent being Blue’s dirty little secret. He hated every second seeing Blue having to go out with drop-dead-gorgeous women in public for his career sake. And no one except hands full of people know they are together. And he hated it. Blue knows Kelly isn’t happy. But there’s just no NFL player who comes out while they are still playing. He doesn’t want to be poster boy for LGBTQ people and be under media microscope for 24/7. Is it too much to ask to play the games he love, to come back into the arms of the man he loves and just be with him? They were friends for their whole lives before they started dating. They have never fought before they get together but now even the smallest things seem to ignite arguments between them. But Blue knows he has to do something and do it soon or else, he would lose Kelly. Kelly and Football are the two greatest loves in his life but perhaps wanting both in his life is an impossible dream. Blue knows he can’t survive and function without Kelly. Now he just needs to find out how he would deal with losing football from his life. After all, love is worth everything.

I really thought Blue had to drop out of NFL to be with Kelly. And frankly that’s one of the reasons I stayed away from sports romances before. I hated the athlete almost always having to give up their careers for the sake of love. 😑 However thank to all deities that it isn’t the case here. Blue was able to have both Kelly and his career in the end. Comparing with the first book which has lots of UST and the conflict of should we or shouldn’t we, this book definitely focuses on the romantic relationship development between Blue and Kelly as a couple. They thought they have known each other for their whole lives but turned out it isn’t true once they decided to be a couple. 😁 And Kelly was as witty and snarky as ever with his killer remarks, hilarious banters and witty snarks. And who knew Blue could be so romantic. Such a closeted softie and a romantic and a super cuddler. 😉 And the smut? 😏 Oh the glorious toe-curling sex, I unashamedly listened those love scenes several times because they really are on fire! 🔥 Hot, passionate, loving and just so romantic! 🔥 And I loved the audio of the first book but this one is even better. The duo narration of Alexander Cendese and Seaf Crisden was just heavenly! 😍 I think these two makes great couple narration. This book was just incredibly and unbelievably romantic. Just so many swoon-worthy and awwwwwwwww moments. The banters were just heartmelting! 💜 And the ending? Damn! That ending! 😱 Miss Harmon is known for not writing epilogues but this one has a fairytale epilogue. 🥰 And true to his nature, Kelly was snarky and hilarious until the end. And special shout out for all the secondary characters in this story. They elevated an already wonderful story to a whole other level. I want spin-offs for lots of support characters from this series and I vow to hound Miss Harmon until we get one. 😁 For now, I’m one happy, satiated bookworm who’s still high from Kelly&Blue cocktail! 😉 Loved it to the moon and back! 💜💜💜

off-the-wall, kinky and loving... perfect!

I love the chatter between the two men; very funny and entertaining. Their relationship is so beautifully written. The narration is so perfectly done. Loved it. Especially Blue. Can't get enough. So cute together.

This is a perfect sequel to the first book. Their relationship further develops and we understand how complicated it is for Blue to come out. This is the gist of the second book. It's sad that life can be so complicated over something so simple as sharing the one you love with the world.

Their intimate scenes only get better. hot hot hot! :P

This book is definitely worth the listen. Don't miss out. Enjoy!

A great book

this book was great...kellys freak out in the mens room to his funny striptease was Pricelessly funny. Then add in all the touchy feely Blue moments and you have a winner. and you can't forget about waffles, she was adorable.

I WANT MORE BLUE!

We need more! I loved these two! From beginning to end they were just awesome - and about as obtuse as two guys can get! I laughed out loud at several junctures from both of these two books - they are both sweet - and caring and I just couldn't quit reading the story of their love. My only complaint is the lack of time devoted to their intimacy - Don't get me wrong, I do not read these books purely for sexy times - in fact I've been known to quit any romance novel wherein the characters immediately engage in gratuitous acts without any emotion - but i feel there are long drawn out periods between their closeness - - I think that's a bit of a mistake - that said, lovely characters, lovely story - real feeling - raw and wonderful at the same time - PLEASE GIVE US MORE OF THESE TWO!!!!
PS THESE TWO ROCK AT NARRATION!!! PERFECT FOR THESE TWO!!!!

The diary of a real football fan.

To give you a little of my background I am the mother of a professional football player. So that’s why this story only got three stars from me. I understand this is fiction but the way that Kelly bitched and complained about Blue’s football career really pissed me the fuck off. Yes I am one of those mothers who tells their son to dust it off and get the fuck back up. Yes my son has been hurt, yes my son has been carried off the field. I am a diehard football fan and I love my son.

Another thing that really pissed me off is that neither one will man up half of the time to tell each other the truth on how they were really feeling. Blue did the most stupid things and got pissed off when he got caught. I was yelling at the book for Blue to grow some fucking balls and take responsibility for your actions, not act like a fucking two-year-old who got their hand caught in the cookie jar.

If it wasn’t for my OCD of finishing books I would have stopped listening after the confrontation between Blue and his brother. I also didn’t care for the first book that much but thought things would get better in the second book and I just open up a totally different can of irritation.

I wanted to really like this book but it was just OK. There was nothing special about it and there were too many different things that rub me the wrong way about the storyline. I never really fell in love with the idea of Blue and Kelly being in a relationship.

Quirky and fun

Tho book was much more light hearted the first book. Blue was understandably torn between his career and Kelly, the love of his life who is also a man. Jelly has been Blue’s lifelong best friend and is tired of living in the shadows. The narrators have done a great job of expressing each of the feelings in a realistic manner.
S.E. Harmon has written another winner and I highly recommended this book.

Yay!! A Happy Ending for both of them....

Brilliant!! I loved the story this time around...yes, even Blue, although I still wasn't quite sure about Sean Crisden narrating him BUT Alexander Cendese as Kelly?? Amazing, in fact chapter 16 [according to Audible] was so funny - the physics conference with Connor trying to talk some sense into a very stressed out Kelly - I was laughing my head off at 4.45am this morning [bloody insomnia]...of course, hubby wasn't too impressed with me but I really couldn't help it, I just got the giggles at the thought of explosive diarrhoea and all the things Kelly threatened to do to Connor when he got his mojo back. The story ended superbly well too, with more laughs. I have to say I've really enjoyed these two stories...any chance we can get a catch-up in the future??
