Frank Muller’s performance is outstanding in this audiobook of Dickens’s holiday classic. Muller seizes every opportunity to extract emotion, meaning, nuance, and subtlety from each word and each situation. Each character has a different voice, each moment has its own intensity, and there is no better "Bah! Humbug!" anywhere in audio. Muller’s intelligent interpretation takes the well-known story and breathes new life into each scene. He makes listening to each description, whether of an unforgettable person such as Tiny Tim, a recognizable place such as the Cratchit house, or a familiar moment such as Christmas morning, as fresh as if one is hearing it for the first time.

There are a million options out there, with ‘special’ narrations by famous people. But Frank Muller was simply the best of them all. He may have other books with flashier characters (King’s Green Mike for one) but he could do Dickens as good as anyone. This is the very best Christmas Carol to be found!

I love this story so much. I read it every Christmas and have to watch every film and television version of it each Christmas season. There's so much to love about it, and it never gets old. To hear it read by Frank Muller makes it even so much more wonderful. I am still sad years later that Frank's life was cut short, especially when he just found out the news he was about to be a father. He was the greatest audiobook narrator I've ever heard, and he will be missed tremendously. Thank you Mr. Muller for giving my family even more Christmas cheer and tradition long after you're gone. If you love Christmas, this can not be missed! Frank Muller brings it to life in sound just as beautifully as Dickens did on paper. God bless us, every one!

We listen to A Christmas Carol at least once each Christmas season. This is the best audiobook of the story we’ve found. None of the others even begin to compare. The narrator brings the story to life beautifully.
