Enjoyable!

This book was fun along with being sweet and clean. I found the storyline and the characters interesting. I could see the outcome are several things before they happened but that was okay.

Great book

This a new author for me, I love the storyline. If you keep your Faith the Lord will always lead you in the right direction, even if you don't realize that he is. The narration was wonderful.

Violet and Bode!

These Proxy Bride books always give me that heart warming feeling. My first one by Marisa Masterson is A Bride for Bode and I loved it. Violet is told she must move from her current living arrangements and is greatly encouraged to become a proxy bride for Bode. This will give her at least part of the money she is entitled to as a dowry to Bode. Her heart is not into this, but once she sees him, she begins to warm to the idea. Until she finds out how he makes a living. Bode is having financial troubles, and taking a proxy bride may be the answer to his prayers. But could it be that easy? These two find love in the most unusual of circumstances. I loved their story. As we get to know the characters, we find there isn't much they will not do for each other and their love is true. It's a wonderful story. Narrated by Jessica Caruso, it flows easy and makes for a very happy listen!

Excellent Sweet Romance

This book drew me in from the very beginning. The narrator did a good job making the story come to life as well. Definitely recommend.

Recommended

A terrific story with lots of wonderful quips and comebacks. I love word play humor. Knowing about the conflict right away lent a edge to the story imagining what kind of reception it would get. The loyalty and strong group of friends was just what everyone yearns for. I hope we get to see more of their stories.

Lacey Gilleran did a good job bringing the story to life. The were a few stumbles and blips but nothing overly serious.

I recieved a free Audible copy of this story, at my request, in exchange for a honest review.

Clean romance

The author did a great job- the story was short, but I felt like everything was wrapped up nicely. The narrator was awesome.

Simple and sweet

This was a lovely story - what I call a Little House on the Prairie kind of romance. Wholesome and relatively straightforward with a dash of suspense, it was an enjoyable novella to pass the time with while waiting for my kids.

*Clean romance level: sweet kisses
*Religion: overtly "Bible" Christian, but most of the beliefs are generically Christian; a little stilted at times but mostly works with the story

[The narrator's reading is a bit stiff at first, but her voice quickly settles into a more natural flow and then it's fine]

Bode and Violet

Two young people are thrown together by chance. They have a connection between them and the marriage might just work, but things keep happening that put their lives in danger and threaten to tear them apart. Through it all, Violet trusts God to get them through and take care of her new family.
Fast paced sweet story that pulled me in right away. Well written story with excellent narration to go with it.

I was given this free review copy audiobook at my request and I have voluntarily left this review.

A Fun Old Time Western with a Christian twist

What I enjoyed or thought of this book:

• This book was mostly a romance story revolving around Violet's forced proxy marriage to Bode. Will it succeed? I liked this premise.
• Bode was a leading man with kindness and good looks. Will he turn back to Christ? I liked his personality.
• The pacing of the story was neither too slow nor too fast.
• There was a lot of action to the story. Some predictable and some not.
• This was a Christian historical fiction story. It was very religious with Bible verses quoted. I enjoyed it, others may not.
• The narrator, Jessica Caruso, had a pleasant voice and gave life to this book.

I requested a free audiobook from the author. My review was voluntary and my opinions were my own.

Cute story

Based on Genesis 50:20, everything that was meant for evil turns to good for His children! Lots of suspense and doubts help tell this tale, but God is still in control!
The narration was wonderful! I was completely involved in the story without focusing on mispronounced words or difficulties deciding who was speaking!
