FOREVER…IF POSSIBLE

The Merciless Queen, a high-ranking commander unit for the Legion, has finally been taken into custody. Now the Federacy, the United Kingdom, and the Alliance of Wald can conduct a thorough analysis of this special Ameise, which houses the consciousness of Legion developer Zelene Birkenbaum. If their efforts bear fruit, they may learn the secret to stopping the Legion once and for all! In the meantime, the Federacy has decided to rest its battle-worn blades. The Eighty-Sixth Strike Package has been allowed leave for the first time in ages. As they arrive in the Alliance of Wald’s territory, they are able to step away from the iron and blood and enjoy a rare vacation! And it seems that two members of the Strike Package are getting a bit cozier than the rest…

Best volume yet

I love of the change of pace of the story the development of each character but I do wish it's not a cliffhanger 😅

Slower-paced and different tone but still good

Saying more than that would be spoiler-y, let’s just say it ended when I thought nothing had happened yet and there was still more to come

Favorite light novel series

Just read it or listen to it. It’s worth it I promise.
The hardest thing is waiting for the next book and audio books.

Missing Content But Still Great!

Let me get the one negative I have out of the way first. THEY DID NOT READ THE AFTER CREDITS SCENE FROM THE BOOK!!! It was read in the Japanese version of the audiobook, so I do not understand why it wasn’t read for the English version! It’s important content for going into the next book, and it’s a real shame it wasn’t read for the English version.

Outside of that one flaw, everything else was fantastic! This is one of my favorite books from this series. Suzie and Stephen did a fantastic job as always in their readings and really brought out the emotions of the characters. I am a little sad Bryce Papenbrook didn’t comeback to read Vika’s part, but that doesn’t diminish the overall experience.

Despite the lack of the after credits reading, this is the only cozy, lighthearted, and fun volume of this series, and it was an absolute pleasure to hear it in audio form.

narration and monologue problem

the series has a meandering problem with its monologue which are very forced and are inserted mid-paragraph in a way that broke immersion and flow.
the problem is further accentuated by the performance of the 2 narrator into creating a whining effect to the listener, thus make it very hard to kept yourself listen more than 10 minute. thus cost me more than a year to finish this volume.
.
the series will much better narrated if the narrator would be a single person and performance be more monotone in nature(i.e. non-abridged)
