Publisher's summary

Having her own successful baking business literally fell into Harper Richardson's lap. She's strong, smart, independent, and well-rounded. Her life has already been figured out, and she is living it to the best of her abilities, along with her year-long boyfriend, Zaire.

Harper is given some news that stuns her, leaving her angry with herself for being so naïve. Zaire isn't the man she thought he was. Still reeling from that news, she decides to go and have a great time at the Houston Livestock Show. Her interest was only in the concerts happening, but a certain bull-rider steals her attention. Resisting him only makes her want him more.

Legend Semien, bull-rider extraordinaire and a legend in the making, has made his passion a professional career. He loves the risk and suspense of it all. Being in the limelight of the rodeo circuit, he's cocky and expects to be able to get whatever he wants.

While Harper and Legend are like night and day, they are attracted to each other like magnets. Despite the baggage and complications of their past lives, they attempt to get to know one another. Will they be able to leave their old lives behind in pursuit of a life together?

Contains mature themes.

Narration Is Everything

The story could have been a good one, but romance is not the genre for the male narrator. His narration kind of ruin the story for me....In fact, I fell asleep several times without going back to see where I left off....I simply was unable to go back...I was just trying to get through the book.

I couldn't finish this one

The heroine was the most interesting character in this and I loved her narrator, Mari. I was drawn to the storyline where she was suddenly trying to save her business, which was being sabotaged due to a petty ex. I was expecting Legend to be a good love interest with an unconventional occupation and some gentleman qualities. That character was ruined for me with his over-the-top disrespect for the women he chose to have sexual encounters with. It didn't help that the male narrator really wasn't the right fit for this book. I hopped off this bull about 2/3rds into the book.

Terrible male narrator

Good story line. It was hard to take the book serious due to the male narrator. I will not be listening when I see he is narrator.

The voices

Overall story was good. Corny but in a good way. Didn’t like the fact that the book didn’t have proper transitions. Like it will skip from one day to the next
without notice. So the book did have some humerus moments and Willis voices did help for those moments. However his voice overall irritated me. But it’s a cute story could have been flushed out more in some areas.

Overall good story

The narrators we all wrong. But if you can get beyond the narrators and focus solely on the story it’s a good story. But the narrations were all wrong.

Awesome book and performance!!❤

Monica Walter's has an amazing talent for always getting it, just right. This was my first introduction to the Narrators Mari and Mirron Willis. They didn't disappoint. I will look for more of their work .

Maaaaaaan! Listen.

If this story wasn’t so good I’d stop listening RIGHT NOW. I hate to echo the room but, honey! Both the male and female sound entirely too old for these rolls. The female is tolerable but the guy…🤦🏾‍♀️
Like at no point did he realize where the character was going? I mean the words used are a dead giveaway. They have great voices and are getting the story across but they are not right for this particular story.

Legend was the absolute man

This was one of the best audio books I’ve ever listened to with it’s unique love story to the relationships of their families and the power of social status in communities. I highly recommend this book to all adults
