There's the Freedom of Information Act, and then there's Ventura's way. The official spin on numerous government programs is flat-out bull, according to Jesse Ventura. In this incredible collection of actual government documents, Ventura, the ultimate nonpartisan truth-seeker, proves it beyond any doubt. He and Dick Russell walk listeners through 63 of the most incriminating programs to reveal what really happens behind the closed doors. In addition to providing original government data, Ventura discusses what it really means and how regular Americans can stop criminal behavior at the top levels of government and in the media. Among the cases discussed:

  • The CIA's top-secret program to control human behavior
  • Operation Northwoods: the military plan to hijack airplanes and blame it on Cuban terrorists
  • The discovery of a secret Afghan archive, information that never left the boardroom
  • Potentially deadly healthcare cover-ups, including a dengue fever outbreak

What the Department of Defense knows about our food supply but is keeping mum Although these documents are now in the public domain, the powers that be would just as soon they stay under wraps. Ventura's research and commentary sheds new light on what they're not telling you---and why it matters.

Too much information I was totally angry with US government and what they did. the fact that there is documented evidence is crazy good. Loss of election and the manipulation of our Free or Democratic system is sicking. Very sad to know that the rich or that the financially affluent are in so powerful. I had been a supporter of Bush One and Two, now I feel like I got "played". Who is on our side?

Things I don't like knowing

I hear Jesse on cable TV, and on Howard Stern. He is able to get his points across quite understandably and intelligently, so why doesn't he narrate his own books? This could have been an excellent listen since when Gov. Ventura spoke, everyone listened. They might not have all liked what he said, because he never pulled his punches, but everyone tuned in. I really wanted to hear Jesse speak his own words, with his own emotions and in his own style.

The book was informative but the narrator sounded mechanicle and when it got into the technicle information I was lost for lack of a better word. There were short snipits of Jesse Venturas dialogue and then some what I felt was another persons dialogue that had very little personality. I like Jesse and wish the book had a little more of his personality put into it. I'm glad this book was done on Audible because I do not believe I would have been able to read it. Audible did well with this book as I think it would have been an incredibly boring read.

The only problem I have with Jesse is; his liberal stance on many issues. However I could only listen to parts at a time because the narrator.

Revealing

Jesse isn't afraid to let you know what we already have assumed by the government's actions...it's corrupt and full of hypocrisy. Good book...a bit dry at times but overall very informative!

this is soooome crazy shit!
