Story
Some tales are best told wet, dripping with blood and bowels, like a freshly slaughtered steer, its flesh and organs splayed across the butcher’s floor for all the world to see. Whether listening to such stories or seeing such slaughters, the observer is witnessing two primal truths: Fear can be measured in body parts, and death is rarely heroic. These eight tales were run through the meat grinder and served raw. If you’re going in, bring plenty of napkins.

Story
Phillipsport, Maine, is a quaint and peaceful seaside village. But when hundreds of creatures pour out of the ocean and attack, its residents must take up arms to drive the beasts back. They are the Clickers, giant, venomous, bloodthirsty crabs from the depths of the sea. The only warning to their rampage of dismemberment and death is the terrible clicking of their claws. But these monsters aren't merely here to ravage and pillage. They are being driven onto land by fear.

Some things, according to Cody McCall, are worth risking a whipping. Such as, sneaking out with your friends after dark for a peek at the traveling show setting up just outside of town. Oddities, the signs promise. Marvels. Grotesqueries. Exotic attractions and mysterious magics. Not as if they'd be allowed to attend otherwise, not with parents and preacher and schoolmarm all disapproving. But how often does a chance like this come along? There isn't much else by way of excitement in quiet, peaceful Silver River, a once-prosperous boom town slowly gone bust.

5 Horrific Tales
I liked all the stories. The first two were erotic and delightfully horrific. The second story was the most erotic and ended with an incredible bang that I did not see coming. I will say this story was borderline porn, but was still really good and those into hardcore horror have come across this type of writing and shouldn't need a warning. The third story about the devil's jam was gruesome, but more bizarre than anything else. Reminded me of bizarre Lovecraft style writing. The fourth story I felt that the author did accomplish his intended goal. I felt I was able to see his wife through his dying eyes. This is the shortest story in the collection and one of my favorites. The last story I greatly appreciated the attention to detail in the description of the guns. I am an avid shooter and hate when authors misrepresent guns and use only what Hollywood teaches us about them. I think it was a great story to end the book and felt like the ending of that story wrapped up the entire book perfectly Cambron McKinney did a great job with the narration. I liked his character voices and energy he put into each story. I was voluntarily provided this free review copy audiobook by the author, narrator, or publisher.

I Loved It !
Crazy Macabre Funny Absurd Entertaining. I received this book for free and was unsure if I really wanted to listen to it. I waited 2 months to start it. What a waste of 2 months. Such a fun listen. The Narration is spot on, and I was shocked, and disgusted and I loved every minute of it.

Extreme Horror Fun
This book was my first PC3 read and I am a fan! This collection of short stories is graphic, vulgar, twisted and funny. The author has a wonderful talent of blending extreme horror and humor. This is a brutal book, not for the weak or prudish. The narrator is wonderfully talented. A quick, fun read! Highly recommend Patrick C. Harrison III.

Interesting, but
The first three story's were home runs, but mainly compared to the other two. Unique for sure, not terribly frightening. Entertaining to say the least. Last story seemed to drone on, I lost interest quickly but I finished it. If the romance waa fleshed out a bit more, it would have improved it dramaticly.
Narration waa spot on and professionally done well. I would love to hear more from this author.

What have you let yourself in for?
Every now and then we come across something in life so traumatic that we wish we could un-see it. This is the audio version of that. You are going to enjoy it, but you are going to be left with a scar.
You might have had that one kid in your childhood that had amazing scary stories to tell around the campfire. Imagine that kid, along with their stories and now they've grown up.
And so, now, Patrick is here. He's ready to tell you some more stories… except this time they're definitely not kid friendly. Nothing goes bump in the dark, you're there, in the middle of it, experiencing it.
Unfortunately, the sample audio just doesn't do this book justice. I guess when that's the tamest part of the book that's all they can put on audible.
The narrator was good, very good. Even when I was shaking my head at what was going on in the story, he still managed to keep the flow and was able to flippantly stroll through the dialog as if he was telling it from first hand experience.
There is no doubt listening to these short stories will have landed me in hell, that's for sure, but as long as Cambron and Patrick are there to tell me another story, I'm happy with that.
