It kills time, but average story.

While I like the first story, it seemed that barely anything happened in the story, maybe about 10 minutes at the beginning and at the end, but the rest was kinda ho-hum. Which is a little disappointing in a post-apocalyptic type of genre. I like the characters okay which is why I finished the first story. Not sure how bad I want to finish the next two books. Narrator was good, but it took a moment to get used to her.

This off the grid series is sooo good. Don’t judge a character before you know them. These character have many dimensions

Excellent stories

Great stories by an amazing author! The narrator was perfect for Radio Silence. Could have had a narrator that better matched the main characters in Signal Boost and Mixed Signals. Loved the plots and character development!!

great build up

I enjoyed the first two books. Great build-up excellent stories. The third book 😒. Maggie is an entitled brat and I just didn't feel her at all. they should call it wine and cheese brat Maggie, or how to be a selfish, entitled, self centered post apocalypse Brat. It is the worst book in the series. it was also a little hard listening to it. The narrator is very drying, boring, and monotone. I fell asleep several times.

Wonderful storyline

Realistic, romantic, suspenseful and overall wonderful story with a dreamy ending! I can’t wait to read more!

Enthralling series

First off, if sexy romantic entanglements, off screen rape. or violence offends you, go somewhere else.
I read the books prior to listening to the audible. Ms. Cole presents a realistic view of what could happen after present society breaks down. all three books are thought provoking. they all deal honestly with ethical questions. Michael's back story in Signal Boost was truly heart wrenching for so many reasons. No spoilers.
I felt that the characters were realistic. it's good to read post apocalypse books that aren't a homogeneous white view. this series provides a true multicultural approach without dipping into stereotypes or irritating cop-out that some white writers do ( I hope ) unconsciously.
Karen Chilton was great! she has a serious set of pipes. I was impressed with her range.Her delivery was spot on whether male, female, or a slight accent. I never thought, What the hell is she singsonging this story for. ( a pet peeve about some audibles I've listened to). instead I found myself waiting until the last minute to pause the story to return to work from my break.

Second story needed a male narrator

The narration distracts from the stories, especially in book 2. The female narrator doesn't work for the male character. Also, the accents are off. Overall I enjoyed the stories, although there were some slow spots, which might have been more enjoyable with different narration.

Alyssa has done it again!

I am so impressed by the range and depth of emotion and human experience that Alyssa Cole can portray in her characters!! The intrigue, passion, and vulnerability that is woven into these stories. AMAZING. I already read the Loyal League series and can't wait to get ahold of more of Alyssa's writing!

Great read except for...

My biggest issue is with the narration. More specifically the fact that this is a trilogy written in first person, but each book is a different character's story that blends into the whole but the narrator continually sounds like a 40/50 something year old, African American woman from the south. although her voice is lovely I don't believe it was the right fit for any of the chatacters she narrated for (considering one is an African American woman in her late 20s from California, a gay Korean American man about the same age from the northeast and his younger 20 year old sister). I honestly would love to hear the narrator perform a book with southern and/or African characters as every accent she tried to perform made her sound like a dora milage, which worked for one character but definitely not the Ukrainian one. I also wish the narrator would differentiate more between dialog and action in her reading because it did feel like someone going through and just reading a book out loud. she was definitely doing this more in the third book and she seemed more comfortable with putting more emotion into the characters by the third book which helped. the stories themselves are well written, interesting, funny and even feels rather believable. the characters are great and well written and I would have fallen into the whole thing so much more if the performance by the narrator was different.

Great series

I loved the entire series. It never lost my attention. Each story was unique and thoroughly enjoyable.
