I listened to this book coming from the perspective of someone that has encountered certain personality types that will attempt to manipulate, gaslight, and ultimately use another person to their advantage. In my opinion, there’s no better way to understand the psychology of these kinds of personalities than to dive in yourself and step into their shoes, as it were. The benefits are endless, as you will discover the little covert (and sometimes, not so covert) tricks they pull out of a hat in order to get what they want. Another plus side of absorbing this information is that the monetary information is actually spot open in terms of the mindset of excelling in a field such as sales, and so on. However as the author mentions in the book, “it’s not all about playing dirty,” and this is true in the sense that understanding this stuff is like a hammer, you can use it to smash something or use it to build a house for someone. It really is all about the intention. And Dan Cohen has really laid these kinds of factors on the table, exposed, and for the whole world to benefit from. Kudos, Cohen!
