Publisher's Summary

You have big dreams that fire you up, and yet a fear of failure is holding you back. You see the success others have achieved and doubt you could ever do what they’ve done. You tell yourself you lack the smarts, skills, or leadership capabilities to live out your dream, but the truth is, there’s a massive gap between what you think you can do and what you’re actually capable of doing. Nick Bare wants to help you close that gap.

In 25 Hours a Day, Nick shares the lessons he learned while building his business as a member of the US Army. He grew that business to seven figures by flipping the switch and going all in - then breaking that switch so he could never go back. Now, Nick wants to help you transform your life by embracing the suck, living like you’ve got an extra hour, and harnessing the power of “one more”. By applying these simple lessons, you’ll radically improve your chances of success.

Misleading Title - Massive Ego

I listened to the whole thing before leaving a review... i thought this would be motivational but it actually just made me like him wayyyyyyy less. Repacking his life story.

If you watch his YouTube videos and his free podcast you can get all the same stories from this book in a better form.

After you listen to “Can’t Hurt Me” you realize this is the generic brand with wayyyyyy less struggle. This book is extremely mediocre.

Good book but not for me

it's a good book, and I like what Nick has to say but to me it's really repetitive. To someone who is beginning their journey I'm better in themselves this book is a good start. and I did learn a little bit from the book, but I feel for somebody who's been trying to better themselves for a while and has had progress this may seem beginner or basic to you. but as with everything in life this book may resonate with you differently than it does with me and it may help you a lot more than it helps me. air recommend the book it's affordable and a short read or listen.

It’s a cool autobiography

Fun to learn about Nick and his life but this book isn’t particularly motivating in any certain way. Honestly, super cool guy, the book however is meh.

basic book

short, simple, too simple frankly. no real substance. nice biography but no real action item except sleep less and do more.

Redundant

Seems like a cool guy, but not a very well organized book. Every chapter seemingly draws on the same two or three life experiences. I don’t like to be harsh in book reviews based around someone’s life experiences because I respect and appreciate them putting it out there, but this book missed the mark for me. I’m sure his next book will be better.

Go One More!

Highly recommend this book to anyone who is looking to accomplish their goals. Whether it’s business, fitness, academia, sports, etc. reprogram yourself and become a “learning machine” as Nick puts it. Set your ego aside, learn, listen, apply, execute, Embrace the Suck, and Go One More!

Save your credit or money

I respect Nick immensely, I am subscribed to his YouTube channel and don't miss an episode. I have purchased his products which are of the highest quality. This book is a testament to his drive, passion, and singular purpose to succeed in all he does. However, most of us, I believe, made the purchase with the intent of gaining some insight into maximizing our own lives. This book served more as an impressive bio of someone who has endless energy and discipline. Impressive, to the say the least, but not helpful for someone not born superhuman. I am happy that he is who he is but this book in no way helps people become the best they can be. To his credit, I took away one original concept, to me, "Embrace the suck." Subscribe to his YouTube channel and save your credit or money.

Lessons Learned

This book was very inspiring. Being a veteran myself and understanding the obstacles faced daily. The mindset to keep moving forward has always been in my vocabulary and thought process. This book gave me the chance to look back in that toolbox and clean the rust off of those tools I didnt remeber having. So thank you for sharing your story. I will definitely be listening again.

Disappointing

I like Nick on YouTube and have enjoyed his journey through Ironman and now marathon training and thought this book would give a more in-depth look at his personality but it’s just a huge advert, rushed robotic narration, repetitive (the cool as the other side of the pillow guy) how many times? All the usual life hacks. One big how great am I and my company? Save your credit and 3hours! Try David Goggins ‘can’t hurt me instead’ honest, real, deep, not a sales pitch or how great am I story.

Motivated to the MAX

As an Ironman competitor and a CEO of my own supplement company in the UK, I feel like this book was made for me.

Very motivating, yet not the usual fluffy marketing style of 'beat the grind' blah blah blah.

Very authentic and honest, without being too heavy. Only downside is that it only lasted as long as it did!

Motivational and an insight into his story

It's a good, short, motivational listen. It doesn't claim to make everything perfect or give you answers, just a story of what has worked for him from his own experience. I enjoyed it as I can relate to alot, especially losing his mum part.
If you take anything from it its to keep going, stay determined and believe in what your doing, or as he puts it "embrace the suck".

Go one more

Amazing to listen to. Quality of sound perfect, makes so much difference when the author reads the book. Give great insight into Nick's journey and how we as readers can take snippets from his journey to use in our every day life. Would highly reccomend.

Great book however….

It didn’t really go into any depth on anything specific. Everything in the book has been covered in his you tube videos. I thought this book would have been a deeper insight. One example is he mentions the importance for him in backward planning and considers this essential. But he doesn’t mention how he does this and having not heard of this before I cant find any info on this or how this is done or accomplished. With that its a good book and easy to listen to covering what drives him and there is much can be taken from it, with the ease of course of listening on the go.

Nick is an extremely hard working individual and may inspire you in many different ways. I am inspired to complete my first Iron Man because of his YouTube series and online presence
