I woke to a mass of men writhing and broken, moving as one in their attempt to reach that great circle of light. They looked like ants, but ants without exoskeletons: their soft bits shredding, their hard bits breaking, to make a sort of chicken-leg jello out of humanity. The cries of pain and cries of triumph mixed.

But one man keeps saying, "2π28.57mm. 2π28.57mm. 2π28.57mm.” Pointing at the circle of light. Claiming he cut it.

Cut what?

And why?

Was quick and odd for sure. I liked it. have enjoyed acouple of this authors stories so far. Well read.

This story is rather graphic, but that was evident from the book description. The plot is conveyed in an interesting way that kept me engaged, and guessing, until the conclusion.

A very well done short short from a previously unknown author to me. I will have to keep an eye out for more work from this author.

Surreal and terrifying

What do you think Hell is? Do you think it's just red bodies demons with pitchforks and lakes of lava? Or do you think Hell is a more subjective, personal thing? This author's vision is nightmare hellscape perfectly suited to his protagonist. I believe it's probably the most terrifying version of the mythical place that I've ever heard or seen before. Gave me goosebumps listening to it, and again now, as I type this.
