My favorite of the series. The battle with the Yogqui was stupendous! For a YA book it reaches a higher level.

Hieronyus Bosch inspired!

I enjoyed the two main protagonist very much. I like the interaction with each other I hope they do get together. It seems to me that the development of Erik and finding out more about what happened to his team is a bit slow. I know this book was supposed to end with six books, but I see is going to eight books. I hope this is not a money grab as far as the author is concerned. I’ve read many of his previous series and enjoyed them very much but I think this series needs a little kick in the tail. As far as I’m concerned there’s not enough action in the book. I hope a romance develops between the main protagonist that would put some more interest in the book. I also hope that the characters get more equipment weapons and Emma has some sort of technological development. For an artificial intelligence supposedly the best in the world she seems to be pretty limited. I will go onto the next book because the story is engaging and interesting even though it’s a little slow. Will let you know what I think of the next book in the series.

A good book, excellent characters, just a bit slow for my taste.
