Gena has done it again!!!!

Wow! This just proves why Gena is my favorite author! I was skeptical because I have not met a Fae based book I've liked since I read Tithe as a teenager.

This book was great. The characters were dark, sultry, quirky and corny all at the same time. I love finding a book that fits all the action and adventure I'm looking for while having silly moments and killer sex scenes. I have not been this tied into knots in quite a while. This book had me hanging on the edge of my seat asking for more while also setting fire to me.

The Narrator I thought was Fantastic! loved his deep husky voice for Kaysar added the right aspect of madness and menace while being sultry enough to make my knees week.

His portrayal of Cookie I thought was good too. Silly, Quirky and mad all at once.

Even my husband mentioned that Adam sounded like an amazing Narrator. He only heard bits of the first chapter while I was getting ready one day but he has heard me listen to many Audiobooks and this is the only one he had anything nice to say about. lol

I would listen to anything voiced by this man and am actively looking into listening to more by him.

P.S. This book has very detailed sex scenes in it. It is for a mature audience. As someone who actively looks for this style of book I feel it best to mention so others know in case they want it or not.

Another imaginative win from Queen Gena

I absolutely adore this author. Some of her series don't appeal to me but this universe is a beautiful blend of deadly and fairy tale. great narrator who doesn't detract from the appeal of the story either. 10/10

I loved everything about this book! The story, the narration, all of it! Can’t wait to listen to the next story!

Heartless

I read Ruthless first, so I knew Cookie and Kaysar but not their story, and OMG their story! Kaysar did everything he could to take care of his sister after their parents died, but when he was taken by the Winter Court royals, their lives took different paths. Kaysar is consumed by his rage over what happened to him and guilt over losing his sister. Cookie has been second to everyone in her life expect Pearl Jean and Sugars, so when she finds herself in the Fae world all she wants is to go home. I like Cookie a lot more in this book than I did in Ruthless, now that I know more about her. I also kinda hope Jareth gets a book next.

Just, wow!

The story line was great and hopefully with the unknown part- it leads to a second book maybe?? The narrator did a great job with the voices and the acting! Especially the spicy scenes!! His voice is uuhh- mazing! The only irksome issue I had with the narrator was that during the narrating part (not the actually conversations) he over used the “whisper ending” of a sentence. It made for an over dramatization of every single sentence. He made up for it in his acting and voices though.
