We need to all be reminded that things were the way they are described in this book such a short time ago. Ruby is only a couple years older than l.

Civil rights icon and hero

When people say get over it slavery was so many years ago, I remark about stories like Ruby that people are able to tell for themselves TODAY. I’m crow is not far behind us and sadly many want to take us back today. America and its history is very musty. It must be told.
