13 Minutes is a psychological thriller audiobook with a killer twist. From the #1 internationally bestselling author Sarah Pinborough. “Mean Girls for the Instagram age.” —The Times (London)

The New York Times bestselling author known for her thrilling twists is back.

They say you should keep your friends close and your enemies closer, but when you're a teenage girl, it's hard to tell them apart.

Natasha doesn't remember how she ended up in the icy water that night, but she does know this—it wasn't an accident, and she wasn't suicidal. Her two closest friends are acting strangely, and Natasha turns to Becca, the best friend she dumped years before when she got popular, to help her figure out what happened.

Natasha's sure that her friends love her. But does that mean they didn't try to kill her?

Critic reviews

“A psychological thriller perfect for fans of Gone Girl and The Girl on the Train. 13 Minutes takes a haunting look at the dark side of teenage friendships…Pinborough’s sharp prose drives the novel through a series of incredible twists and turns.”
BookPage

“Pinborough’s thrilling murder mystery is filled with twists and turns... But at its most basic level, this is a story of petty high school betrayals, popularity contests with toxic frenemies, and vividly depicted peer pressure, all of which combine to create a painfully real novel.” —Publishers Weekly

13 Minutes is an undeniable page-turner, but don't turn too quickly or you'll risk missing Pinborough's crackling language and nuanced depiction of the thrill—and terror—of adolescent friendships.” —Tara Altebrando, author of The Leaving and The Possible

Unpredictable Plot • Engaging Story • Lovely Voice • Realistic Descriptions • Great Character Development

Well, this is definitely YA. BUT it definitely held my interest and I really enjoyed the narrarator. Mean girls mixed with Pretty Little Liars. And I like that sort of thing.

Quite good

This is definitely a modern ‘Mean Girls’ type story. A bit implausible because I find it hard to believe a sixteen year old is capable of the incredibly diabolical aspect of the plot. Nonetheless, an engaging story with good narration. Has most of the social games involved with high school, spot-on. Although it’s been decades since I was there, some things never change... they just get updated.

Ending was a little weak, but good overall.

I enjoyed the story and it was a nice performance by the narrator. I am going to read another by this author.

Enjoyed the read.

Loved it. The only thing I would have liked, was at least one more chapter to pull everything together. The ending left you wanting more.

Great

love Sarah's imagination!!! her descriptions are so realistic, I actually got the urge to Google or look up what the characters were searching in the story. Perfect performance from the reader as well. although the transitions from one character to the next was confusing at first. you just have to pay attention.

great book!!!!!
