Publisher's Summary

Brought to you by Penguin.

Michael Ryan has a talent to sell. He can kill anybody in just minutes - from the first approach to the clean escape. His skills have served him well, and he has a grand plan: to get out alive and spend his earnings with his beloved wife, Maria.

An anonymous client offers Ryan a rich payout to assassinate a target in Harvard Yard. One last big job is just what Ryan needs to complete his plan. And Harvard Yard? With dozens of unguarded entrances, it’s one of the easiest settings he’s worked.

The precision strike starts perfectly, then somehow explodes into a horrifying spectacle. Something isn’t right. Ryan has to run - and quickly learns that he’s running alone. Maria is missing.

The pieces lock into place and the world’s fastest hit man sets out for one last score: revenge. And every minute counts.

Awfully disappointing!

I'm usually a big fan but the quality of the writing here was so poor. It felt like a parody. Not on form at all.

Mis-leading Title and description

I wish I had read the "reviews" before I bought the book just because I love the author.
The first 3 hours were as advertised, but NO-WHERE did it warn that this was a collection of short Stories,(in order to publish lesser work?).
I am disappointed and am returning the book.

Short Stories ...

I enjoy most JPatterson novels & the first story & narrator were very good & together made compelling listening for me. But then it was follewed by a second story which I struggled to listen to; simply wasn’t my cup of tea. Then there was a further story ... after the first few minutes that wasn’t going to entertain me either ... I didn’t notice this was a collection of short stories otherwise I would not have purchased; I will probably return this audiobook. Also, I feel sure I’ve read one of these before...
If you enjoy short stories then this is worth a try. Story number 1 was in my opinion the best.
